As the title of my review states, I have been using this particular Swingline stapler for 40 + years - and it is pretty much bullet-proof. It will jam up occasionally, as all staplers do, but when I smack it as hard as I can when it jams (glad you're not here to witness that in person when it happens), it just clears itself and keeps on going. I did that smack-job recently on a cheap stapler (that I just bought) when it jammed. It broke into 3 pieces instantly...then went directly into the trash bin. Don't waste your money on those el cheapo staplers. Spend a little more and get one that will last 20 years at least.

This stapler will easily staple 30 sheets. This is a huge time saver for me, with my larger documents. Important: You must use Swingline brand staples for best performance . Other staples will jam or stick.

Very unhappy with this stapler. I have not had it very long and it will not staple anymore. I feel like things are not made the way they used to be and this is a prime example of poor quality. I love the look of it, unfortunately it didn't hold up to routine stapling.

I only wish it had the exact markings and shade from Office Space
