Love this!
Great value! Great price! It’s a little heavier than I thought but not a problem. Very sharp! Love it for chopping, dicing, and mincing. Cover for blade stays on in storage. Excellent quality!

Excellent craftsmanship
As advertised. The cleaver is solid, sharp and well made. It has excellent weight and will cut through bones as described. A must have for any chef.

Tough blade
This knife is a workhorse, it’s big, and sharp. The full tang and wood handle is a good fit in large hands. Keep it oiled, it’s carbon steel will last a lifetime

Superb geometry
This knife has just the right shape, length, and weight. The height (spine to edge) is high enough to cut with a pinch grip and your hand behind the work without your knuckles bottoming out into the food. Enough of a belly for rocking cuts. A sheepsfoot point keeps the edge forward, where the work is, not like the useless, stabby center point of typical chef’s knives. The pinch grip is comfortable and usable. The weight and balance make it very handy and wieldy—the weight is right where it’s most comfortable and easy to use when using a pinch grip, just forward of the hand. I don’t hold my kitchen knife like a combat knife, so I don’t know why most kitchen knives are designed to be held that way; but this one is designed right. Cons: The socketed handle and the wood itself, while comfortable to use, look and feel a little cheap; and the laser etched “pattern welding” or faux “Damascus” looks very cheap. It was, itself, a very low priced knife, so I’m not complaining—the value to price was still excellent. But— I’d pay a lot more for a knife with exactly these dimensions made with good steel and a nicer quality material and construction handle. Clone this knife and make it nice, and I’ll pay 10x for it. The geometry and balance are better than any of the expensive knives I’ve handled.

Great Knife - Perfect for bad Kung-fu movies and eviscerating meat and veggies
First off.......the product video needed a little spice. I think a disturbing, horror, kung-fuish theme serves it much better. Enjoy! This Serbian chef knife looks like something out of a Tarantino movie and is likely effective for dispatching henchmen. (I haven't tested yet) But, after owning one for a few months I bought 2 more for business promo gifts. My clients loved them! The knife is awesome for chopping veggies and getting into meat. The weight gets it through duck and chicken torsos with ease. It's now my favorite knife. I use it daily and it holds an edge well. (There were some minor rust spot issues in the beginning, but after a few weeks no more. It might be the carbon coloring they used on the knife. Just put some oil on it from time to time and don't wash in the dishwasher to preserve the wooden handle and it will serve you well.)

If you chop bones, buy this
This is the battle axe of bone choppers. Heavy!!! I had to replace a “cleaver” that was one of my faves. The old was good for chopping meat but chipped when really chopping bones. This one doesn’t flinch. If anything, make sure your cutting board can take it. Don’t use on a counter, this thing will axe it easily.

Not what I expected
The reviews were so good on this that I wanted to get it as a gift for our son. I was so disappointed. It arrived with no time to send it back before Christmas, so I ended up giving it to him. As you can see in the pictures, it arrived in a damaged box and looked used.
