When you need a side dish to go with your meal this makes a simple and easy choice. It will serve four people adequately. The directions are simple, add the macaroni to salted boiling water, cook 7 minutes, drain and add the packet of cheese sauce. Voila! It's done! We don't have a Cracker Barrel restaurant so I can't compare it to the actual restaurant dish. But Growing up I ate a lot of Kraft dinner (mac and cheese) and velveeta. This version tastes even better. When I eat Kraft dinner today,I find it not cheesy at all. This new version is very cheesy. Kids will love this mac and cheese. I highly recommend it for time saving and taste.

Although I have been a customer of Kraft's macaroni and cheese products for many years, and their products are very good, I've decided to try this product, even though it costs more than Kraft's because even though they have the basic pasta products, the cheese components offer sharper cheese flavors, which are more to my liking. I've ordered and received several different cheese varieties, with the costs averaging about $2.00 per pound, when comparing Amazon's prices for these products, comparing local retail prices plus buying the sauces separately, the costs are about even ?

It is definitely not what you taste in their dine in restaurants but, still tastes decent. You get what you pay for. It is a decent amount/quality when cooked/made to eat for a dinner at home. The taste of the white cheddar is not bad but not super super great. I could eat it again though. This was my first time trying there product. It is unfortunate though, no retail stores in my small town local area sell there food products. This is why I ordered it off Amazon, something new to try out for dinner at home.

Great pantry staple and taste compared to other mac+cheese items. I box should feed 2-3 people. Add fruit or a salad and you have a good quick meal.

Cracker Barrel mac&cheese is a better quality product. The taste is not that FAKE cheese flavor and there is more pasta in the package than the cheaper brands.

After following all the instructions on the bag, layer the macaroni and cheese mix alternating layers of shredded cheddar. Then, mix a cup of milk and an egg with a little Tabasco sauce and add spoon fulls on top of the macaroni and cheese allowing it to settle into the crevices. Top with panko crumbs and bake on 350 for 20 minutes.
