Great Coffee
I recently tried Volcanica Coffee’s medium roast Brazil estate (16-ounce bag), and I loved it. I'm not a coffee expert, but I enjoy exploring different coffee brands and roasters, and this one really stood out. The flavor is rich and smooth, with subtle hints of nuts and chocolate. You can tell the beans are carefully roasted just by looking at them, and that quality shines through in the taste. This is my second bag, and my family and I are already almost finished with it! I’m excited to try more varieties from Volcanica Coffee. Highly recommend.

Disappointing
Volcanica is a coffee roaster that clearly aspires to a reputation for offering specialty coffee. Their marketing indicates this. The problem is that, at least in this case, they are selling coffee that is no where near to freshly roasted. The bag I received was roasted on June 7, 2025, more than 6 months after I got it. The taste was rather predictable. It was bland and flat. If you look at their web site, the reason for this becomes clear. They offer at least 134 different types of coffee. I don't think it is practically possible to offer such a huge selection and sell in volumes that justify that selection if you offer only freshly roasted coffee, which is one of the essential hallmarks of specialty coffee. Volcanica is simply a mass-market supermarket coffee roaster that just happens to sell online. BTW, one other complaint. The roast level was not accurately described. It is supposed to be a Medium roast, but I tested it and it is in fact a Medium-Light roast. Volcanica is far from alone in this type of misleading marketing. Sadly, many other providers of otherwise excellent specialty coffee label the product's roast level inaccurately.

Amazing coffee
I am definitely not a coffee snob, but my wife is. She has turned me from a maxwell house guy into a fancy coffee person the last couple of years. We bought 6 new coffees this past weekend from the "best" coffee regions in the world. This Brazil is the best by far. It has amazing flavor while also being very smooth. Nutty flavor with some sweetness. Even my wife enjoyed it. It is our new favorite.

Volcanica is my go to brand....
Volcanica Coffee has become one of my favorites and go to coffee brands. The quality and freshness of their beans is amazing! Brazil Estates is a really great medium roast, full body, smooth, flavor packed "cup of joe", perfect for my midday pickup. My all-time favorite is their dark roast, but I love variety these go great thought the day.

Great
Wife is the fancy coffee expert. I want to like coffee but just can't do it. Over the years I have bought her several different varieties and brands of wholesale bean coffee. Out of all of them she brags on Brazilian from Volcanica the most. I bought 4 different varieties from Volcanica alone. She loved them all especially the peaberry variety, but won't stop talking about the Brazilian Bracosta estate
