Bought to use for ice fishing, had never used one of these so I was skeptical on how well it worked. Once I figured out how to use it properly it worked amazingly. It was fairly accurate on the depth and fairly accurate whenever there were fish in our area. No it does not show exactly how many fish and where but it does indicate something is down there big enough to set off the sonar. Whether it’s a fish or a log it picks it up on the screen. And for the price I’d say that’s worth it

This little guy works pretty slick and simple. It does however get interference from others and it effects the depth number but other than that it worked great! Can't wait to try in the kayak this summer

Bought it to get depths. When I anchor sometimes I use it in my dinghy to scout anchorages for my sailboat instead of risking running aground. Works great for my purpose. Don’t use it for fish finding.

Wanted something small that doesn’t need a freaking car battery, so I tried this. Took it out one time on my kayak. During some rough surf the unit fell from my bait table to my foot plate (about 12”) and landed face down in about a tablespoon worth of water droplets. The unit stopped working and will not turn back on. This unit has ZERO water protection. Also, you CANNOT change from metric to imperial. The ad claims you hold down the power button to change, but all that does is put it in a “test” mode. I suppose the only positive is that it has a pretty long cable. You know, so you can look at a non-functional device from further away.

Ok for the money. Gives some sense on the depth. I have no faith in the fish readings. I was blue to see below it and saw no fish, but there were a bunch of fish on the screen.

Was hesitant based on cheap price. Bought it to measure depth on a Canadian fishing trip with a rented boat. First day I dropped it over the side while drifting/trolling. Worked great. Next day I placed it in the bilge and was shocked to see it is truly a through hull transducer. For the price?! You do need a little water in the bilge. Sometimes can’t measure at full throttle but sure can when approaching a fishing spot at moderate speed. It will “mark” fish, but as with all cheap fish locators I take that with a grain of salt. BUT, if there are no marks it’s probably telling you something. Best product for the money I’ve ever purchased.
