And it allows you to work with numbers under a million while still including the cents. $999,999.23 is still possible. Calculator does not slide. The calculator is not flat - the numbers are slanted making it easy to read. I bought two others and this one is by far the best. Shuts off after the right amount of time. Battery life has been great. Battery is replaceable with a flat round battery behind an accessible door.

I'm not sure about solar power here. It's a calculator. It's in a drawer unless I use it( indoors). I see where the battery goes, so have to wonder how this is going to work if it is truly solar (I am betting not!). I'll update if it doesn't work the next time I take it out. But I digress. It's an inexpensive calculator, works fine so far and the only complaint I have is that there is no off button. It stays active for nearly 10 minutes. Wastes battery!

For a $9 calculator I wasn’t expecting perfection, but even at this price point I think it could be improved. The calculations are accurate, which is the most important part, but the build quality leaves something to be desired. First, it only has two rubber feet, while the other two corners rest on hard plastic bumps, making it slide around on my desk. This is distracting and could have been easily fixed with four proper rubber feet. Additionally, the plastic seems slightly warped or not properly extruded, causing a minor but noticeable wobble. The keys are another issue - they sit higher than I’d like, requiring a little extra effort to press, and they’re quite loud. A lower-profile or softer rubber key design would have been much better and quieter. Lastly, the calculator is very lightweight, which adds to the feeling of flimsiness. A bit more weight would improve the overall feel and stability. I bought this calculator to use for my accounting class where the proctored final exam only allows a basic calculator. I might be more sensitive to the sound than most, as I tend to be hyper-aware of noises due to ADHD and misophonia, but the loud keys were distracting not just to me, but likely to those around me as well. Overall, it does the job, but I wish it had a sturdier build, better footing, and quieter, lower-profile keys. It’s fine for occasional use, but I wouldn’t call it great, even for the price.
