I installed it on my 4 foot by 8 foot sky lights. It works. Pros: it's cheap compared to other electric openers It's wireless It's pretty high torque Cons: Attachment mechanism to window requires quite a bit of custome fiddling to work. I didn't want to just drill holes in the window so it wasn't so simple an install.

The first unit I received did not work. The replacement unit came with a completely different wiring system instead of the remote control unit originally sent. There’s replacement unit for the wrong second unit came with an ac/dc adaptor? With no place on the unit to plug it in? It also didn’t work. Haven’t received return labels for any of the units, there are 3 and I’m doughting that I will receive a refund based on the service I’ve received.

The motor does what is suppose to do and opens and closes the window. However, notice that the video does not show a screen on the window because the chain has to open through where the screen would be. I modified the base of the window frame by notching the frame for the chain to try and get it below the screen and the long pivot bolt where the chain attaches to the window was hitting the window frame when it closed. I replaced it with a shorter bolt so it cleared the notch I made. Since the chain rises as the window opens, I still had to modify the screen by notching the aluminum frame to fit around where the chain goes thru as it rose up. To keep bugs out I cut a piece of rubber and attached it to the notch and screen to keep bugs out. Maybe a special piece of rubber or other material made to fit over the chain to keep bugs out which can be attached to the opening for screen should be included in the kit. A shorter pivot bolt should also be included is someone notches the window frame for the chain.

If you are selling a product that uses line voltage in the United States your equipment should at least meet the local codes. This item seems to work flawlessly and the remote function is easy to use. My gripe is with the installation. The 110v connections are not designed to mount on a standard electrical box used in the USA . People who are buying this product are building their own "mounting system or electrical box" this is not OK. end Rant.

Works Great! The seller was very helpful when contacted. I am enjoying the beautiful Minnesota fall from a window that was previously inaccessible.

No matter what we tried we could not get this to work! Save your money and time.

Close window does not stop and it ripped the screw out of my vinyl windows

Installed it about 6 months ago on 4 x 4 ft skylight with gas filled shocks. Motion is very smooth and almost silent, as opposite to my other skylight 2 x 4 ft with preinstalled lifter that is noisy like hell. Wall and remote controllers work perfectly fine including great option to stop in any position
