They used to be so brittle bending, breaking and peeling often. So I am very pleased. I have used it for a top coat, which I'd recommend. I've also used it as a base coat, though I wouldn't recommend this as I found it caused the nail polish to chip off and peel away, and I was wearing OPI nail varnish, so it was this. But when I used it onto of my OPI is made all the difference. Hope this helps. I love the Londontown nail products & this Hardner dies not disappoint. My nails need all the help they can get & having this on them gives extra support. Very satisfied!

Works great as a base coat. No comments about the hardening etc because my nails are healthy and I can't tell. But the brush! WOW. It's thick enough to pick up the perfect amount of polish. The shape is perfect so that a single swipe can cover most of the nail. When you use it, you realise what you've been missing out on with other nail polishes. One of those quality of life improvements that hits just right. MVP brush for reals.
