My 6-year-old son loves this. As a homeschooling mom, it is a great way to add a more hands-on element to his math lessons. It also allows him to practice his math on his own and get feedback while I'm occupied with other things around the house after our lessons are over. It is very easy to use and very engaging.

I love hot dots. My students think that they are magical. I love that they give instant feedback. My kids are obsessed with these during centers.

Prefect for my son who needed to stretch a little in his learning. He did the preschool hot dots and so time to graduate to the 1st grade. Love this concept and how it helps little kids to take learning into their own hands.

We just received this item today and the kids were very excited to use this. I have found that if the pen taps outside of the black dot area it will not register as a correct answer. I told the kids to hit the center of the dots. I hope this is the issue other reviewers were talking about and this isn’t something that will become more of an issue down the road. The actual materials are very good for their age. I am very happy with this purchase.

The magic pen is a great idea. Our 6 year old granddaughter loves working with this. Making it fun is the key.

What a great product! The pen is a self checking pen for all the line of products of hot dots. It is not a cheap feeing pen, not too loud, the voice is nice and fun. There is a silent mode that shows a big red or green light for correcting. The books just couldnt be better that came with this. The font is also perfect. The books are high quality and highly conducive to learning.

I got this educational helper to help my son with his reading. I'm disappointed because it only gives positive or negative reinforcement. Any child playing with this will have to know how to read already in order to play with this. A child that is behind will have to have a parent, older sibling, or teacher assist them with reading the instructions on what they are suppose to do. A good toy for summer enrichment but not learning from the basics.

Not at all worth the money spent, useless, please avoid buying, can get something much much better with the money spent….

Hi this could be such an awesome tool; for any child especially progressive learners how ever my pen doesn’t work. It says wrong when it’s right/ gets the answers back to front. I purchased other card sets and now my son rejects the whole system as he got frustrated with it. I’m definitely impressed with the concept.

Hay varias oraciones donde la pluma no funciona, el problema con esto es que confunde al niño al momento de aprender… Me decepcionó.
