I have used all of the top name brand rotary hammers over my years in construction and I have to say that the Berserker is by far the better one and the best priced I have ever used. Over the past few years ALL of our top name brand ones have been in and out of the shop for repairs. That is why I decided to try the Berserker. I was impressed right out of the box with it! It's an SDS for interchange with all others bits. Nice hard case. Comfortable grip and low vibration. Amazing power for break out. I broke out a 6" wide c 4" thick solid concrete footer in about 25 minutes with ease! I would have taken pictures of the job in progress, but didn't want my camera phone in all the dust, plus was on a timeline to get it done on a Saturday and didn't have a helper to hold the camera! LOL But after cutting the edges with a diamond blade, the break out went quick. Couldn't cut all the way through as we had to preserve the rebar inside the foundation. The Berserker allowed me to chip through it like a hot knife thru butter! I'd gladly buy another Berserker product in the future! I highly recommend it!

After burning up my 1/2" hammer drill while drilling holes in hardened 5000psi concrete, I purchased this Berserker medium duty rotary hammer. I love the fact that it is multi-functional, since I used both the hammer drill mode with the included 1/2" masonry bit and hammer mode with the included flat chisel to remove the concrete. The drill mode will be very useful for heavy duty drilling operations in the future. This rotary hammer is very powerful and made short work of the job. The tool is powerful and heavy enough to do heavy duty work, yet the weight of the tool is very manageable. I also liked the ability to adjust the hammer force for more precise or delicate work. The cooling fan is very powerful and the end intake with the side discharge is excellent in that it does not blow across the work area causing a dust storm while also drawing in cleaner air. This should ensure a longer tool life. Again, I cannot stress enough, the multi-function ability is priceless. EDIT: Well, I cursed it. The chuck broke making the bit not stay in place while chipping, the end became very loose, and the grease expelled out. Amazon/Beserker sent out a replacement immediately and this one is working fine. As I will not be returning to my project until spring, I guess we will see how #2 holds up on the other half of my project. Keep in mind that these hammer drills have a two year warranty and they really are a great buy for homeowner use... EDIT@: These rotary hammer drills are only good for very small projects. I also did my second unit in removing the front edge of my 20' porch. I got the job done, but the second rotary hammer also failed. The impact becomes less and less powerful and also a seal must fail causing the grease to come out the chuck. I highly encourage you to get the expensive Bosch or buy the more powerful, more expensive Berserker rotary hammers if you are doing heavy concrete work.

Drilled over 30, 3/8” holes through 6 inch concrete slab in less than 1 hour. Works much better and faster than if I had used my conventional drill (on the hammer setting).
