It was perfect for solving the problem.

Bought this for doing quick oil changes on my Audi TT. Build quality is not perfect but for how often I use this its should last. I wired an inline 20A fuse as there is no protection if the motor shorts. or a cable is cut. The pump has quite good suction and flows better if the engine oil has been warmed up beforehand. I always squirt though some WD40 afterwards to help rinse out the pipework. This pump is ideal for cars with a dip-stick and for interim quick oil changes. (Its still recommended to perform a normal oil change by pulling the drain plug where possible.) I emptied my engine using this pump and to see how much was left in the engine, pulled the drain plug and got a quarter of a cup of remaining oil, so this pump did a great job of removing the bulk of the oil. I always change the oil filter each time. Well recommended but construction could be slightly better.

This is a good pump for the money if you use it only for oil. It doesn't like water. If you use it for water, a rust bond will form in the 'pump head' that's accessed easily via 3 black allen bolts and the motor won't start next time you need it, as the motor doesn't have much torque on start to break this bond, so it will just do nothing and appear totally dead. I was amazed how little rust had caused it to lock. The good news was after a simple clean with a rag and WD40, it was working perfectly again. So 2 things are important: 1) If you misuse this pump with anything other than oil, take 2 minutes afterwards to clean and dry the pump head and put a little oil in there so it doesn't rust up before the next use. 2) If your pump ever does nothing when switched on, TURN IT OFF IMMEDIATELY. Because whilst it is showing zero signs of life, I am pretty sure it's still drawing power and will either burn out or blow a fuse inside if it has one, and either of those will not be so easy to fix. I turned mine off after just a few seconds and it was already warm!

Haven't used it yet because the instructions are just a useless jumble of words. Example: Please correct installation account to installation drawing. I take that to refer to a diagram -there isn't one. It does warn you several times not to use it while standing barefoot in water but no actual breakdown of what's what and where it goes. To say the instructions lost something in translation is like say Hiroshima lost something when the Enola Gay came visiting.

The pump itself is good and works just fine, shame the supplied accessories are cheap and nasty and leak! Ended up chucking them in the bin and used some decent pipe, sealing washers and jubilee clips

Good value for the money

Très bon produit, fonctionne toujours très bien après plusieurs utilisations, très pratique. Moi j'ai inséré une des 2 lames métalliques d'un vieil essuie-glace dans le tuyau qui descend dans le moteur pour le rigidifier et ainsi pouvoir aller bien au fond chercher l'huile et ça marche bien.
