This motor is just right. I bought it to drive a focusing rail for macro photography. When ordering, one should be careful to order the correct speed. I originally ordered a 0.6 rpm motor, thinking the motor could run within a range of 0.6-200, as described. If you buy the 0.6rpm unit, it will run at 0.6rpm or slower,with a motor controller. I then bought the 50rpm unit, and it is perfect. I can run it slower if needed, and run the rail forward or reverse with precision.

Unfortunatley this item was DOA. I have several of these motors and received them in good working order. This one was sent in a plastic bag inside a paper package. No padding of any sort. (See photo) the motor is loose from the gear housing and when I connect it to my 12v dc power supply no joy. This is going back. **UPDATE: I received a replacement motor and all is well. The Seller reached out to me to offered a replacement. I beleive that this seller stands behind their products. These are really good motors for right application.

Be careful test all motors when you get them. I thought all 50rpm motors I have received from them over the last year were fine till I got customer returns of the product we use them in. ALL of those motors TESTED at 30.5 RPM. Warning there is only a 30 day return window!!!
