Waterdrop AS13 Under Sink Water Filter System, Reduces Lead, Chlorine, Bad Taste & Odor, PFAS, NSF/ANSI 42 Certified, No Drilling Required 6 Stage Stainless Steel Under Sink Water Filtration System

I've been using Waterdrop RC-3 EZ Change filters for a few years in another undersink filter, but wanted something with a full enclosure for the filter. I'd seen the AS-08, but this AS13 was even simpler, and a better buy during Prime Days. The AS13 uses 1/4" push-to-connect fittings for both hoses, and the filter I replaced also used 1/4" tubing, so installing it took less than 10 minutes. It's a shame, since the hoses feel like good quality, but I didn't need to use them. I am running the output to it's own faucet, as we already had one installed. I also added a little bit of food-safe silicone grease to the filter threads, to make opening and closing a little smoother. The threads are well-cut, but there's a lot of contact area, so anything to reduce friction is good. With the silicone, I was able to open and close the filter by hand, and I saw no leaks from closing it hand-tight. That said, they do include some good tools to assist. I let the new filter run for 5 minutes, per the instructions, and drew off a glass of water to taste. We live in an area with fairly good water, but I don't like the chlorine odor or taste, and the AS13 takes care of both. The filtered water tastes great, better to me than what was coming out of the RC-3 filter, but that one was nearly a year old. I also timed the flow (and remember this is all through 1/4" tubing, and from a dedicated water filter faucet). It filled a measured gallon pitcher in 56 seconds, a little better than what the instructions claim. It may slow down a bit over time, since we do have fairly hard water, but I'm very happy with the performance.

He was incredibly knowledgeable about how the product operates. Setting it up was a piece of cake, and I noticed no change in water flow. The taste of the water is absolutely fantastic. Pretty easy to install. Quality seems good. I’ve been using it for a couple months now and see a small reduction in PPM readings in tap water, but still am not satisfied enough to drink it. I live in Imperial Beach where the water quality is sketchy, so I appreciate the reduction of solid particulates. However, the biological solution can’t be totally solved with this filter. I recommend getting an under-sink UV light filter for that - since the reverse Osmosis machines are wayyy too expensive and huge.

Wish I had known products like this existed before spending a couple hundred dollars a few years ago on a water cooler and wasting money and time filling the 5 gallon jugs, or buying a Brita + filters and all the time wasted filling it daily. This works great, was easy to install (says my partner) and is inexpensive. I loved it so much I ordered one for my mom's house as well. Also love that it has an indicator telling you when to change the filter. Haven't gotten to that yet to confirm if it works, but my water finally doesn't taste horrible. Easy fit under kitchen sink. This thing rocks!

Great product and easy installation

Good product but Filter is not convenient to replace. In fact I was not able to unscrew the housing to replace my filter as there seems to be a small amount of calcium buildup making unscrewing the base impossible (or nearly). may have to ditch the unit. Disappointing!

Pros: Filter is made of steel, not plastic - very sturdy and well made. All parts included [even tape needed to seal connection to from hose to pipes!], 1 year filter included. Water tastes really good, no cholorine taste and the mineralization of the water is a great feature. Water flow is really good [very important]! Replacement filter is around $30ish and rated for 8,000 gallons! My opinion - It's a steal compared to buying bottled water or constantly replacing filters from a pitcher filter [and waiting...] The convenience is unmatched! Cons: None so far! Will update this review later.

For the price, you really can't expect much more that chlorine removal. For that the filter does a great job. I don't how much it reduces lead and heavy metals, but we still use our Britta filter for our drinking water which when combined with the Waterdrop filter probably does a decent job of filtering out harmful stuff. We have a very health conscious city that frequently tests tap water for contaminants so we are satisfied that we have good drinking water. The first one of these I got had a filter cover that was fused to the base. I sent that one back and got one that was easier to remove. Got it installed in 10 minutes and after running water through the filter for 5 minutes had clean tasting tap water. If you have bad tap water I wouldn't trust the Waterdrop (or the Britta) to clean it up. But if your tap water is good then this is a great purchase.

Looks nice but as it only filters the cold water that is a downside. I tested the water and there was no improvement from tap water.

Bonjour, Tout d'abord je mercercie les personnes qui m'ont répondu pour la question sur la perte de débit avant l'achat de de ce filtre. Grâce à vos réponse positives, j'ai commandé ce filtre. Franchement je ne suis pas de tout déçu, produit de qualité, l'installation facile et rapide avec tous les accessoires fournis (30 minutes pour ma part) l'eau du robinet est complétement différente, tout le monde de la maison a apprécié. L'information importante, comme moi, ceux ou celles qui se posent la question sur la perte de débit, la réponse est non, en tout cas je n'ai rien senti. Le prix du filtre de remplacement est 39 euros pour un an d'utilisation c'est très économique Je vous le recommande !

Really good quality stainless steel product. Easy to install. Tools provided to open chamber for replacement cartridges. It fits so neatly under the sink it saved us space on the one we had before. Chrome adapters provided for larger bore pipes. Even the silicone tape was provided. Very pleased I bought it. Water is now great!
