Excellent replacement for my Class A Motor Coach
I purchased this to replace the original junk one which failed to keep the water out during rain storms or washing of the coach. Since this was installed as a replacement I did not need to cut the hole, and the mounting was without issue. To seal the outside world from getting into the coach I used butyl tape on both the vent and cover and trimmed off the excess. Butyl tape was purchased on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06WLQ3WLS?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details. Be patient when tightening the vent when using butyl tape, and recheck it after a few days since it will naturally spread out some and trimming may need to be done again. Use a blunt (not sharp) plastic type scraper. The vent hose is short and worked perfect for my installation since the washer/dryer is mounted close to the coach wall, and was easily installed with a "S" shape since the dryer output and vent were 4" apart. My space is extremely tight and patience is a must when fitting them. Make SURE the hose is NOT KINKED and there is no obstruction to the airflow. I also installed a drain pan with the new WDV2200XCD and replaced both water valves with quality metal ones from Lowes. Since this is a PITA top of job fix everything once!

Easy Install but You WILL need a Longer Dryer Hose
I have installed 2 of these kits in RV's now and each one has been fairly easy. The hardest part of the install is drilling the hole in the side of your RV. Each one I had to go and buy a longer hose. There isn't a lot of room in RV's to start off with and a short hose definitely didn't work for either of my models. The longer hose will allow you to make a connection with the unit out so you can install it fully connected. Overall the reliability of these has been great. 1 RV has had one on for over 3 years now and it still looks like new and I have had zero issues with leaks.

Good value for the cost, no instructions but pretty basic to install.
I ordered this assuming the kit would fulfil my needs for a dryer vent, which it does. The kit comes with multiple pieces and a very short dryer hose. The hose may be too short for some, but it works well for my use. There are no instructions with the kit. You will need a stud finder and a 4" hole saw. As you can see in my third photo where the black tape is was where the manufacturer said to cut, there was a stud there. Had I used a stud finder I would have avoided that mess, but it was not the end of the world. Simply cut your hole on the inside and drill a pilot hole for the outside, on the outside make sure you put masking tap on your metal so it doesn't tear it up too much. I highly highly recommend using some sort of mastic tape as a seal around where the plastic plate meets the camper and then around the outside of the plastic plate use caulking to have two layers of waterproofing.

Solid & Reliable – Perfect for 5th Wheel Dryer Installs!
I installed this Westland vent kit on my RV wall to finish up my dryer setup, and it’s been working exactly as intended. When you're cutting a hole in your camper, you want a kit that feels substantial, and this one definitely does. Pros: Durable Build: The plastic vent cover feels thick and UV-resistant, which is essential for something sitting out in the Florida sun. Complete Kit: It came with the ducting and clamps needed to get the job done without extra trips to the hardware store. Flush Fit: Once installed and sealed, it sits nice and flush against the RV siding. It feels very sturdy and doesn't rattle while we're towing. Cons: Installation Nerve-Wracking: Not a fault of the product, but cutting into an RV wall is always a bit stressful! Just measure three times and you’ll be fine. The Verdict: If you’re adding a dryer to your 5th wheel or travel trailer, don't settle for a cheap home-style vent. This kit is specifically designed for the job and feels like it’s built to last for years of travel.

Good quality
Good quality on all the parts. The dryer hose could be a bit longer but it worked well. I found the hard part was to drill a hole in my rv. Stressful. Good thing I checked the wall for a stud

As expected. Looks great on the outside of the trailer.

Works great, easy install. If you cut the hole in a straight line to where the dryer outlet is there is more then enough length for the hose.
