Valerian Root Herb Dried Cut 250g

I purchased this product to make oil but I am using it to make tea. I am afraid I really do not like the taste of this tea so I blend it with other teas to make it more palatable. So if you struggle with the smell it maybe an idea to add some hibiscus 🌺 or camomile or any tea of your preference to it. It seems a good quality valerian and definitely smells the real deal. I think the product is quite expensive generally but this is a good size so I feel it does work out better value for money. Personally I didn’t notice a massive difference in my sleep quality but that is probably because I need to use it every night and I mixed it with other sleep aids. So I probably will try and stomach the smell and test it for sleep quality by taking it on its own. Overall I will continue to use it for sleep and I am happy with the price as it really does go a long way.

Bought this really for making tea , but oh my god the taste and smell is awful, but I got around this by grinding to a fine powder in my coffee grinder , and put into capsules bought from amazon , I use 00 size , perfect no more taste or smell and much cheaper than buying the ready made capsules and

Smelt like raw sewage... I thought mayhaps I'm simply an ignorant westerners, Iit might just smell. I infused tea with it and passionflower as one might, to assist with sleep as its meant to... Upon taking a sip the smell of raw sewage was complimented by an immediate & overwhelming taste of the same way it smelt. I gagged & attempted to spit it out accidently drinking a tiny amount. My stomach churned a few times, my tongue tingled & I knew this was not merely an issue of an uninformed westerner. I washed out my mouth and mug & then examined the contents of the bag very closely, a reddish brown powdery residue lay over all the herb which was close to black tea in appearance. After careful inspection & some small tests I concluded this was in fact actually, genuinely 100% authentic raw sewage that the herb had been grown in & hadn't been washed off... now contaminating my entire batch of tea, I was left with no recourse but to throw away the entire bag. Suffice to say I am not relaxed. Why have I paid for tea that is supposed to help me sleep only to find it literally coated in dried sewage & being more wide awake than ever after the certain knowledge that, however briefly, sewage was in my mouth. Displeased.

But bloomin’ heck it stinks sooo bad, first time I got it put a little down for the cat as she loves the smell so much and does have a really nice calming effect on her. However I left the bag in the living room and towards the end of the day I was convinced I must really stink as all I could smell was the smell of old stinky man feet, I eventually figured out it was the valerian! So it’s now kept in an airtight container in the cupboard with cat toys kept in the box, which is enough to ‘charge’ the toys up with the smell for the cat so routinely remove and add new toys for the keep the cat happy. But it is not weak stuff so I can only conclude that it is of a good strong quality and that can only be good.
