Is this buffer really different from similar buffers made by others? I'm a big believer in buffers, but I haven't found one to differ from another.

Proper use means: hold the buffer from the side between your fingers. Avoid touching the pads with your hands. Use the first step ( The grey side ) to smooth the nail ( about 1-2 times a month). Use the green/ blue side every 10 days. Use the white side every 10 days as your 3rd step. Note that you don't need to use the white side for a long time on each nail to get the shine. Just buff the nail with this side for 3-7 sec max. This buffer includes 2 white pads to provide you much longer use and strong shine output.

You will not need to use the block as often on your toenails. They naturally grow slower and are also less exposed to harmful substances.
You may gently clean the buffer strips with a cotton pad and rubbing alcohol.  Keeping your buffer in its wrapper, or in a protective bag will keep it clean and extend the life of the pads.
