I have used several tubes of this thinking it was a good fit because it is a curl cream with protein, which is usually a win for me. This formulation is a flop for me. It makes my waves look weighed down and almost gummy feeling sometimes. For reference, the outer layer of my hair is coarse, and the inner layer is fine, and I do get highlights and use bond treatments regularly. My hair has to be dripping wet when I use this curl cream, and this cream doesn’t play well with all gels and mousses. I experimented with how wet my hair is and also paired it with a different gels/mousses to try to get it to work. This product works wonders for some people, but just writing this to let you know that if you continue to have meh hair days, it may not be the styling product that you’re using, but this cream. Still rating it four stars because it works well for many, has quality ingredients, and it’s probably just the formulation that doesn’t work for me.

Absolutely only used this product for the first time and only it and my hair is super curly and soft. Love it and it smells so good. I am a curly girl so I try new products sometimes but this is great! I even let it just air dry.

My hair is wavy, not curly, but I love this product. It really helps bring out the waves. One day I didn’t dry it and it looked more curly than wavy. It doesn’t take much and if I don’t use too much, it’s very light.

Best hair products, hands down. And this protein cream is worth the price.

I wanted to badly to love this but it’s just so heavy on my hair. I have relatively naturally curly hair that just needs a little pick me up and this does nothing for me

My favorite product form Curlsmith so far and the first I ever tested! It smells delicious and is very light-weight. On my first try I did apply a lot of it, maybe too much because I was seeking this sea-weedy silky conditioning feeling. But that product won't give you that as it's protein based. It will add structure and definition to your hair while gently moisturizing it without weighing it down. Despite my heavy-handed application this cream did NOT weigh down my fine low density wavy hair.

Game changer with my frizzy prone curls - I have fine hair and don’t always get good clumps of curls - I’ve suffered hair loss due to stress and lost confidence with my curls. After washing, I used my usual hydrating curl cream, used a deman brush & scrunched - applied some protein cream & scrunched - then a little leave in gel and the clumps have formed so well (for my hair thickness) they were defined and people were commenting on my hair - will be buying more in for sure!

Really good cream. Worked for my hair as I was dealing with harsh water.
