Would buy again and again
I bought this for my 9 year old son. The box it comes in holds many tricks that has kept him busy for weeks. I was worried about the longetivitey of the box it comes in especially since hes a little rough on his possesions however it is still holding on quite well for the amount of use it gets. I think there are 100 tricks that can be learned. It comes with props, a booklet, dvd, magic wand and a wonderful magic hat. The hat by itself would justify the price of the magic set. One recommendation I would make is buying a scarf or bandana to suplement the set as a few tricks require using one. So yes, my son absolutely loves this set and I love it because it has gotten him away from electronics and video games. I also appreciate that it comes with an easy to follow video that shows how to perform the tricks. Just be prepared to be bombarded with endless magic shows, lol, or have on hand many different people who can also stand in as the audiance.

Engaging and Top-Notch Product for Kids!!!
My 8-year old has been into magic since finishing all the Harry Potter books at age 6. When he realized there are magic kits out there that give you the tools and magical items to actually "do" magic, he was hooked. This kit was the second magic kit we bought for him; the first one was for his birthday, but he wanted this one so bad he spent his own allowance money on it instead of waiting for Christmas. He's been using it non-stop since it arrived and while Dad does have to often help him read through the instructions on how to do some of the more difficult tricks, he has figured out how to do the easy tricks by himself. He is SO into it that we can expect to see no less than a new trick from him every 2-3 days. He's gotten so into it that Mom found a local Magic Camp for him to go to over summer break and he cannot wait to go. It is so fun to watch him get into this and learn the tricks, and then perform them for us. Just yesterday, he came home from school, went to his closet and got out a nice wool coat, put it on along with his Magic Hat (comes in the kit), and did a new card trick for us. I see him using this and having fun with it for years to come. Really engaging product for kids, and even fun for grown-ups too!

Abracadabra. That's the magic word.
I like this magic set. As a 40 year old child I found most of the tricks fairly easy to replicate. I haven't watched the DVD yet. We're busy binge-watching Justified at my house right now. The cool thing is that I can practise some of my prestidigitation as I stare intently at the tele. I should clarify one of the statements by the manufacturer. The kit includes props for up to as many as 100 magic "illusions." It does NOT contain the 100 greatest magic tricks. To prove my point I will give you this short list of some of the greatest magic tricks NOT included in this kit (hint to the manufacturer if they ever make Magic Show II: Electric Boogaloo, or Magic Show III: The Legend of Curly's Gold): 1) Making the Statue of Liberty Disappear 2) Making Las Vegas Disappear 3) Sawing a lady in half (men are too hard to saw) 4) Pouring milk into a newspaper cone 5) Rabbit out of the hat (Nothing up my sleeve...) 6) Guessing the card you touched on your TV screen at home 7) Conjuring a card that a volunteer has written their name on from a deck that has been freshly unsealed 8) The endless silk handkerchief in a hundred brilliant colours 9) Making a yacht disappear at Spring Break (I love the holidays) 10) The Aztec Tomb 11) Anything by the Amazing Jonathan I will say the cards are pretty amazing. I need to work with them some more, but I've gotten quite good at making coins disappear from the box and appear in my hand , making the rabbits multiply (like it's that much of a trick wink wink nudge nudge) and multiplying the red balls although my 5-year old kid is so tired of that bit... so are the people at work... and at the bus stop... and the coffee shop. Turns out they don't accept magic as payment at Starbucks. Who knew? The one question I couldn't find the answer to in the manual... what's the magic word? I tried "Presto," but apparently that only works with the rabbit, bird, tiger or whatever you "don't" have up your sleeve. I tried "Please," but that NEVER works for pretty much anything. I tried various magic words from TV and movies like Ala-peanut-butter-sandwiches, Sim-Sala-Bim, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo, Mecca Lecca Hi Mecca Hiney Ho, Klaatu Barada Nikto and By the Power of Grayskull... Nothing worked. Then, by some sort of, dare I say, magic, I discovered Abracadabra. So, in conclusion, use Abracadabra.

Excellent toy
My children absolutely love this trick. It comes with many different tricks. Most of them are pretty easy to do, but are very impressive. In fact, a lot of them are things I would see performed by a children's magician. You could even save yourself some money and perform some at your own children's party. My kids really loved them. They could spend a long time on this. They really are pretty impressive. They really enjoyed putting on shows for their friends and family. I was pleased with the quality and all the different pieces that came with it. I thought they were well explained. Depending on the age of your child you may have to explain how to do the tricks to him or her. I looked at a lot of kits, and really liked this one for how much it came with. I also have bought it several times to give as gifts. I would recommend it.

This is a pretty big kit with lots of tricks for a kid to practice. The quality is pretty good as most of the props are of reasonably solid plastic. The instructions are pretty basic but clear, however most of the instructions will be from the kit's YouTube page that shows you exactly how to perform the tricks. Kid is having a great time with it.

Great gift at a good price for a budding Magician. My son loved this set, and has been entertaining us with his shoes. The only thing I was expecting was a mini table but 'table' is actually the box. These are not quality products but not super cheap as well, so your little one will enjoy and make use of the items.
