Great taste

I bought the SunButter Chocolate Sunflower Seed Butter as a nut-free option because my child’s school is nut-free, and we needed a safe alternative to Nutella. It’s been a great substitute for lunches and snacks. The texture is smooth, easy to spread, and the chocolate flavor is rich enough that my kids enjoy it without feeling like they’re missing out. I also like that it’s plant-based and has some protein, which makes it feel like a more filling option than many sweet spreads. The only reason for four stars instead of five is that you can still taste the sunflower seed flavor slightly, so it’s not exactly like chocolate hazelnut spread. But overall it’s a really good nut-free alternative, and I’ll keep buying it.

I cannot eat nuts and have to watch my ingredients carefully due to autoimmune issues. This gives me a tasty, slightly sweet, slightly salty alternative to peanut butter or Nutella. It’s not nearly as sweet as Nutella, but for someone on a very limited eating regimen, this is a treat.

I gave it 3 stars as perhaps this is personal taste but at first all you get is strong overpowering chocolate flavor and after a while trying to find the flavor you get a slight after taste of sunflower butter that can't compete with the chocolate. Disappointing. The texture is OK. A little grainy but then again I only took one taste as I wasn't looking for a chocolate spread with a touch of sunflower but at least equal seed flavor. Grainy was my first impression.

I don't like it. Maybe I just bought a bad jar. But, it's bitter and gross. I've always loved every kind of nut butter, sunflower seed butter and chocolate nut butters, but not this. UGH! I don't recommend. Had to throw mine out. It's a food item, so you can't get a refund or anything. I see now that other reviewers didn't like this flavor either. I purchased this because of the great reviews and then I realized that this is just one of Amazon's TRICKS that I've always hated. The high rating is NOT for the Chocolate Sunflower Seed Butter. It is for the OTHER flavors. They lump the reviews all together, so you're fooled into thinking you're purchasing a great product, when it's FAR FROM! They do this on a lot of products and I wish they would stop it, because it just costs customers a lot of wasted time & money. I do not recommend this item! Thank you for reading my review.

My son loves this sun butter. It has a lot of nutrients and while there is higher sugar content since it also has chocolate, I feel better about him spreading it in muffins, pancakes, etc. all the time vs Nutella or a cookie butter. It’s also an added benefit that it’s sun butter and since his school is peanut/tree nut free, sun butter is about the only spread allowed. You have to mix it up, but it’s easy to spread and taste delicious especially on banana pancakes

Yummy product, hits the spot when craving a “peanut butter and chocolate “ fix. Will be buying more of this product.
