SimFab Flight Stick Grip Extension Kit Configuration #7 Compatible with Thrustmaster Warthog, F-16C Viper HOTAS, F/A 18, VirPil, WinWing and Moza AB9 Flight Sticks And Bases

I installed a MOZA Force Feedback base into my sim cockpit, which had to be lowered down for the seat to go forward which in turn made the stick way too short. This kit fixed that problem perfectly. This kit is so customizable, making it to where you can extend the flight stick to exactly the length you need. It comes with 3 tubes of different lengths, and the screw on couplers. You simply put the tube of the length you want, slide the couplers down and screw them onto the base / stick. Then extend it to the length & rotation that you want and tighten down the grub screws. If you need to customize the control stick length of your simulator, I highly recommend this kit!

been thinking about getting an extension to my warthog. the warthog was new. i liked it. but i felt it was impossible to do so fine movements. like apache in DCS. i got the parts and thought i was missing one. sent it back and the seller told me the male and female adapters come screwed together. dumb me. i got a replacement in a week and put it together straight away. so word of note. the cable connections are not very tight. when i screwed the parts together the connectors slipped off a couple times. i wrapped the cable, which goes in the extension, with some velcro wire strips. it made the cable sit nicely in the extension tube. no more problems. i used 110 mm extension.

Only thing I do not like about this is that there is no way to secure it from unscrewing set screws hold ends in place on the pole sections but there is no set screw in the threaded caps to lock from unscrewing. The winwing joystick has flat spots on the threaded sections for this purpose. As a result sometimes when flying the throttle twists and unscrews a little causing some momentary issues.

The extension is well made and trivial to install. I added the curved extension (a separate purchase) as a lot of people had written about the stick feeling too far away. After crashing a lot of UH1Hs in DCS World with several joysticks, I can finally hover and move around reliably. I put the other joystick for reference to the size of the extension. If you're having trouble in Helicopter Sims, this is a must have

be careful to look for what is not in the compatible list... it says it works with the Moza AB9 and it does if you use it with a thrustmaster grip (i do not have virpil to test) but I can verify that it does not work with the MOZA grip... if you try to use with the moza grip the grip will just spin around because moza uses small round tabs to lock the twisting.

Wanted to write a review for any others with Winwing joysticks looking for an extension. Winwing has the same thread as Thrustmaster/Virpil, but the difference being the male/female ends are swapped for base and grip. So this straight extension is installed upside down compared to those joysticks (makes no difference visually here). Also I wasn’t sure if Winwing would be prone to slipping as they use a locking grub screw for their own couplers, but my joystick seems pretty rigid after installation. So overall happy with this extension, and has nice solid aluminum materials that fit well with the aesthetic.

Reaaaaaaaalllly high quality. Even full printed colored manual! I wish I had time to write more but this is excellent for those of us who own more than one brand. I own them all. At the price, ($60-80) this is one of the best values I found on Amazon ever. Install is good on both TM everything and Winwing Orion Important sim "tool" to have!

My kit showed up without the set screws. I've emailed the provided email in the instruction handbook, but have not gotten a reply yet. I will update this review once I get a reply, and a resolution so I can properly evaluate this product. But as of right now, it renders my entire setup unusable without those 2 tiny set screws.
