Very good buy. I made a small clock through wood. Looks great. Beware I would say the maximum thickness of clock plate should be 15mm to allow fixing of washers & nut. My wood was 20mm, but made the hole tight and screwed clock firmly into wood without any nuts or washers. I also cut the length of the 3 x hands to make better fit.. so far kept excellent time.

Useful kit for clock maker who makes thicker than average clock faces from resin.

Great value for money and very easy to install,dropped a star because one movement died a death within a fortnite but the 2nd is still going strong after a couple of months,this is why I bought 4

The product would be better described by the length of the threaded shaft, not the distance from the base to the tip. TLDR Lesson learned! I ordered four more larger ones for 15 mm board. Nice product though. Accurate, no ticking and a constant sweep looks just like an analogue movement. TIP 1: The positive end of the battery goes in first (under a couple of tiny teeth to prevent it falling out). TIP 2: The hands are thin and fragile so they will bend if you push them on at an angle.

I bought this kit to replace an electric mechanism which was beyond repair for an antique pub clock. Works great.

Great item a reasonable price recommend to all.

So disappointed with these clock mechanisms. I have bought several different types from Amazon before and had no problems, but needed some with longer shafts this time. When fitted to a clock I have made, I found the first mechanism was running too fast and gaining 9 seconds a minute. I then tried the other three mechanisms, and also with different batteries and all do exactly the same. These are being returned as they are total junk I'm afraid.

Did the job nicely. Very easy to install and appears to be keeping very good time.
