How to get the controller to shut off? We have tried everything. It stays on. Please help

While wireless, it shuts down after ~5 minutes of inactivity (Controller LEDs: OFF, wireless LED on dongle: flashing blue). Press the "Home" button and it turns back on (Controller LEDs: ON, wireless LED dongle: steady blue) My system: Alienware Aurora R11 with Win 11 OS and used to play Gotham Knights.

I am only lighting led1. How do I get it to pair again. It was working yesterday.
