Great stuff
Regular Thick It hurts my stomach ( I had gastric bypass- maltodextrin). Thick It 2 is wonderful! Single ingredient. I would recommend anyone that use it, know that it really does take 30-60 minutes to "smooth out"- otherwise it has a applesauce-like texture- which is usable, but is a weird sensation. I always keep extra bottles in the fridge so I don't run-out. I found the best way to mix it is in a 1.5 Liter plastic bottle, put some water in it, add 1/2 your scoops, shake it at least 30 seconds, add more water, the rest of your scoops, shake vigorously 30-60 seconds or you will get lumps. Lumps happen fast so don't stop for something else if you can help it. I tried a Cuisinart blender stick, that seemed to destroy the thickening ability. If you have something wide enough a wire whisk works very well to break any lumps.I use liquid Crystal Light or Mio or Dasani to flavor it- You can use soda- but it will foam up at first-stir some bubbles out first!!) It took me a month to get used to drinking this way. Add to soup, and ice cream ( make earlier and refreeze). I have not had any aspiration using this product. If you have to thicken, this a great product which truly does not have a taste ( you will think it does in the beginning, but it really doesn't)

it works fast and easy
I don’t know of a single disadvantage of using this! Former chef for 20 years, this is the easiest fastest method to thicken anything no certain temperature no diluting no mixing just sprinkle and whisk!

No different than standard
Used it to thicken vitamin water type product with artificial sweetener and had to use the same amount as the standard product. May work differently in other fluids but we only use it for that.

I wish I could Subscribe & Save, we use so much!
I make my son Gatorade 'gelatin' (thick applesauce/apple butter consistency) because it's just easier for him to swallow more. Adequate hydration is a constant battle and is extremely time-consuming due to his swallow issues. Takes a ton of this (half cup per 2 cups of liquid... probably wouldn't take as much if it was a sugar free or lower sugar product, I've noticed sugar does affect how this product thickens) and we've been using it on and off (but probably all the time in the future) for about 22 years. I am thankful for the Concentrate as the regular ThickIt would bankrupt me, it would take so much.

Flavor free
This is suppose to be concentrated and I guess it is but not by much. Way cheaper than regular Thick-It though. I have to use a thickener so cheaper is better

Crucial help to address my mother's dysphagia
Several years ago, my now 90 year old mother started to cough when drinking liquids such as water, tea or juice, as well as soups with a thin consistency. Her doctor diagnosed her condition as dysphagia and suggested we use Thick It. It has made a tremendous difference since we started to use it. My mother's Care Givers add the white, flavourless powder to all my mother's drinks and to some of her soup. They have learned how much to add to get the desired thickness of the liquid they give to my mother. I highly recommend this product to address anyone having this condition.

Does what it is supposed to do.
I have no trouble swallowing - but it is nice to add a little to some dish that is a little too 'juicy' Nice that it seems to have no flavor - so can enjoy the flavor of the food

Works great and no taste
Father hasn't choked on his drink since started using this. Use in iced tea and Dr Pepper so far. Play around with amount to use. We use 3 large scoops (tablespoon end of scoop) in 3 cups of iced tea for a slightly thickened/smooth drink. Use 1 large scoop with 3/4 of 20 oz bottle Dr Pepper. Pour Dr Pepper into large glass before adding Thick it, as it will foam up. Father says he can't taste the Thick It.
