These are small, about the size of a nickel. Not a toy, careful around kids. I used on a metal door to hold fabric over glass panel. Works great. Use hooks to put in place then unscrew hooks and place flat by magnet to help get them off. My use has very little weight. I don't know about the 30 pound claim....these are real magnets, not toys. Don't leave them around memory chips or a pacemaker. Excellent for my use - remember, very small and I am working with ounces of fabric, not pounds of objects.

Good quality product and strong enough to hold the Christmas lights. Very handy and easy to use.

I'm super impressed with these. I had no issue with screw threads as others mentioned, they all matched up to make a full 15 pieces. I tried them on a few different metal surfaces to see their strength. On the front door (hanging horizontally) they hold hats and a small bag but in the garage I attached to to the bottom of a heavy metal rack and hung a very heavy coat on it. I'm not sure it could make it up to 25 lbs but they're super handy. Just to note, the type and thickness of metal count to the strength of the pull. The thicker the metal the stronger the hold. And hanging vertically is stronger than horizontally. Still recommended!

We brought these DIYMAG magnetic hooks for our cruise this summer, and they were an absolute lifesaver. If you’ve ever cruised before, you know there is never enough hanging space in the cabin—these completely solved that problem. The magnets are incredibly strong; when they say 30+ pounds, they genuinely mean it. We hung bags, wet swimsuits, hats, and lanyards, and the hooks never budged. You can stick them anywhere the cabin walls or ceiling are magnetic, and they hold firm without slipping. The only minor challenge was screwing the hook into the base the first time, since the magnet tries to pull in one direction, but once you get it started it’s smooth sailing. The build quality feels solid, and after a week of constant use they still look brand new. For such a small, inexpensive item, these made our cabin so much more organized—definitely a must-have for any cruise.
