Self-Guided Tour of Savannah

Very useful on my weekend trip. Was able to plot out walking routes, provided info if fees were needed or free if you are budgeting.

This booklet is so precise! It's basically walking tours starting from our hotel!!! Everything you need and nothing that you don't.

My husband and I are 60-somethings and we wanted a simple guide to use at our leisure and this did fit the bill. We liked the simple directions for walking. We did stray from the plan a few times, which is expected. My only suggestion would be to include stops on the way for restroom opportunities, which is the main reason why we strayed! But, that gave us the perfect excuse to enjoy that wonderful coffee and muffin from a bakery we couldn't resist! Do Savannah on foot for at least part of your visit because there are so many little enjoyments that are missed when you take the trolley or buggy. One resident invited us into their garden walkway to admire the beautiful blooms and plantings. Another time we chatted with two native born residents when we were taking a break under the shady gazebo at Johnson Square. We ended one of our walks with a cold draft beer at a locals' bar off the beaten track. What a treat! We learned a lot there as you can imagine!

The book was exactly what we were looking for. We are excited to take the walking tours and learn more about Savannah.

Easy to carry in a small bag or backpack. It has beautiful pictures.

Small but mighty! Perfect for a long weekend !!

We spent two days in Savannah and this guide was great. It showed the historic area in sections, complete with maps, pictures and highlights, so it was easy to plan our walking tours.

Be aware it’s only 20 pages. It has a couple of paragraphs describing the main historic sites and a couple of maps.

Bought this for my daughter who already has this book packed in her luggage for her trip to Savannah. great guide!
