Can I use this to  protect my hair from chlorine damage when swimming?

This product is not goi g to protect you from chlorine damage.  The best thing you can do to protect your hair from chlorine is to keep your hair out of the pool water.  The best way to do that is with a swim cap.  Prior to placing your swim cap on wet your hair with tap water along with a small amount of conditioner.  Your hair is like a sponge by writing it first and placing it inside the swim cap the pool water cannot replace the water that is already absorbed by your hair.  It may seem like a lot of trouble but you won't have any damage from chlorine and if you have color treated hair you need to be sure and protect your hair for sure.

It definitely adds some shine. For me it's the exact shine I've been looking for and has been the only hair oil that I have found that actually gives your hair shine without having it look like a greasy sort of shine. For example, I have blonde hair and often will look to a dry shampoo throughout the week to keep myself from needing to wash my hair every day, but unfortunately this can result in my hair looking dull or dry afterwards. This stuff has completely changed that. The only hair oil I've ever used that really does not give my hair a greasy look but adds the perfect amount of shine to hair needing a pick me up. I even find myself taking it around with me during the day for an early afternoon touch up. Hope this helps!

For super shine, I would use a shine spray. The oils and serums can be heavy and greasy looking when using enough to get high shine. Look for a high shine spray.
