Quick fit and release terminals
These clamps may be a bit difficult to initially open when you first get them out of the box, but once you connect your cables and put them to use on the battery, they are simple to fit and release. Very pleased with my purchase.

They do fit and function well.
So, read other reviews, took a chance, not a problem. A little stiff to release for the first couple of connections, but after that they open with firm pressure and close with firm pressure. Don't expect these to open 90° to connect to the battery terminal, they don't and won't. Just make sure you have them straight with the terminal when pushing them on or removing, avoid twisting if u can. Their connection between battery terminal and quick release is as tight as it needs to be to carry enough amperage to start a 1600cc petrol, and even after many dozens of starts now they're rock solid even in the ice and cold we've had. The connection between wiring and quick release needs rethinking. I got some flux, solder and a blow torch and soldered my cables on, I initially used just the cable clamp knowing it wouldn't be good enough, and it wasn't. If these had a through bolt then they'd be awesome. Don't cut the plastic for larger cables, use a Dremal, round file or even the shaft of a soldering iron, so much easier and nicer. Spray terminal protection on (or whatever is your choice to prevent corrosion) BEFORE you close the quick release. If you have a silly battery, like for a Hyundai Amica, and have the adaptor spacers that take them from a small terminal to a standard terminal, they even work on those! Brought a second set which are just as good, looking to buy a third in the coming weeks.

One Faulty and the other one just didn't fit!
I purchased these two clip on battery terminal clamps to use on an older car battery that i have integrated into my PV Solar Setup. I thought this would be a much safer way to charge/use the battery knowing that the terminals would be fully covered. We have two dogs who love to explore so having open terminals would not be an option for me - this product seemed to solve that particular issue. When the terminals arrived they were fully closed/clamped. The positive one unclamped from the plastic easily but the negative one refused to budge. The brass clamp was damaged and wedged into the plastic cover. There was no way i could unclamp it without removing it totally from the plastic housing. I used a screwdriver to prise away the plastic and noticed that the actual battery terminal clamp was damaged and therefore wouldn't allow the mechanism to slide open. After around 40mins of trying to bend the metal back into shape i finally had a semi working clamp, however my problems didn't stop there! When i tried to put these clamps onto the battery terminals, a standard 12v car battery, neither would fit. Using a serious amount of force i managed to get each of them to just sit on top of the battery terminals. When i closed the clamp however they just sprung off. After much perseverance i eventually did manage to get them to stay on, but only just. You can see by my review picture how much of the terminal is still exposed - i did not like this whatsoever. As a result of my experience i can not recommend these to others - in principal they are great, but in practice they failed me miserably! Maybe i received a pair of faulty clamps, who knows. I will be throwing these away and ordering a different brand of clamp instead. I hope that you found my review helpful.

Nicely packaged, easy to use, fitted perfectly
Ordered to replace damaged battery connectors for an old car project. Able to attach both the heavy main cables and also smaller ones by crimp ring connectors. Fit easily onto the battery terminals, and easy to adjust, then push down the insulating cover for a very tight fit.
