This is the closest to traditional jerky with a twist i have ever found, personally I could eat the carne seca lines for the rest of my life and not feel like I've missed anything. The hatch chile is by far my favorite, the flavor doesn't overpower the palate and the jerky is dry but almost melts in your mouth, and as you chew the flavor is incredible all the way to the last chomp! Very happy buyer and I will definitely be buying more, good job guys! I love the product and I appreciate all the hard work that goes into each batch, definitely taste the care and love put in!!

I just received mine today and it's so good! Such a pleasant surprise because it doesn't have any sweetness at all which I'm extremely happy about. Mine isn't crumbly like others have said and it has a very appetizing bite and chew to it. The chili flavor could be more intense, but that's just a personal preference. Overall I find it very delicious and would order it again! This is just my experience though. I do think it's worth giving a shot if you aren't into sweet jerky or like sugar free jerky!

I love the People's Choice classic hot & spicy big slab beef jerky, so I figured I'd give this one a try. Boy was that a bad decision... It's inedible. Really. Even though it was fresh and well within the sell by date the flavor was sorta okay, but the texture was downright awful. It's dry, stringy, and has an awful mouth feel. After trying to eat a couple pieces, just in case the first bite was anomalous, I considered feeding it to my dog before deciding to throw the rest out. I'll buy the hot & spice slab jerky again, but will never purchase this garbage again. It's not fit for human consumption and given the texture I'm afraid my puppy would choke on it.

Been a hit with everyone in my office! This is some of the best jerky I've had. It's hard to find good sugar free jerky that actually has flavor & this one is it! The hatch chile flavor is delicious & it is not at all spicy (seriously, don't worry about spice if you aren't a spicy food person!). The pieces are 'tougher' than mass produced jerky, they don't use preservatives to make them more shelf stable so it's more dehydrated than most commercial jerky like you'd get at a convenience store. Will definitely be buying again!

Fresh, delicious, and there is A LOT of quality jerky in this bag! Having lived in New Mexico for 30 years, I am disappointed that there is ZERO green chili flavor (not even a hint of green chili). However, this is still excellent jerky and I like it. I will definitely consider buying again.

Not my favorite. Being from New Mexico there are better brands that taste more like green chili. This tastes more like taco seasoning on beef. It might appeal to others, but I was looking for a true green chili flavor.

Ever since I visited Albuquerque, NM, I have been searching the “carne seca” jerky in stores elsewhere with no luck. I finally just searched it on the web and Amazon carries several brands. I ordered the People’s Choice and was 100% satisfied. The jerky is deliciously flavorful-not tasting sweet and rubbery- and I like the dry texture as well. It’s a great source of lasting energy when you can’t get a cooked meal and need something to eat. I find the taste irresistible, the hatch chile is mild enough for hot pepper wusses like me, tasting just what I crave in the best of grilled steak - genuine meat umami flavor.. I don’t know what possesses most jerky makers to spoil the flavors with sugar and rubbery texture. Now I have to figure out how stop gobbling it down in couple of days…it’s just so goo-od!

I tried so many different brands and recipes of jerky in search of the best I’ve lost count. This product has it all and then some. Great quality, flavor and overall, the best I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this product hands down and it will now be my go to jerky. My search for the best is now over. This definitely is it!
