This is a fantastic little pill container and crusher. I was a little hesitant to order at first because it's 2 or 3 times as expensive as most plastic pill crushers based on the same screw-down plunger concept. But I've had too many cheap plastic gadgets break with limited use, so I ponied up and bought one of these. And so glad I did. Just be sure you understand what you're getting. What it's not: Regardless of the keyring attached, it's not really appropriate as a keychain. It's too big and too heavy for that. It's about the size of a a stack of 3 twist-off plastic coke bottle caps. But being made of stainless steel it weighs a little over 3.5 oz empty (100+ grams). It's also not going to crush most pills to a super-fine powder or have room to store a month's worth of daily doses. What it is: It is a convenient size for travel, easily fitting into your shaving kit, purse, or carry-on bag. It will crush pills to an adequate coarse powder. In fact, it does almost as well as the metal pill grinder I have for use at home. If you need fine powder you'll need a mortar & pestle, which I also use at home but don't travel with. But this one is perfect for travel where size and convenience are most important. And if you make 2 or 3 passes, shaking the powder around in between, it will get pills down to about the same fineness as cornmeal. It's also extremely sturdy - literally going to last may lifetimes. And it's very, very high quality, with exceptional machining. And, contrary to what some reviewers have written, it really is quite easy to use, whether crushing pills or simply opening the top to access storage. No need for adding T-bars in place of the ring (cool as that looks) or removing the O-ring seals (comes with 2 extras, BTW). It's also a terrific pill container. The very top opens to reveal that the plunger part is hollow, with enough room in it for about 20-25 typical aspirin sized pills (the plunger is still plenty thick and heavy, though). So it's an all-in-one for short trips. Well, almost. I modified a small funnel to fit inside the pill storage compartment so I have an easy way to transfer powdered pills into one of the little titanium containers, sold by many vendors here on Amazon, which are much more suited to slipping in a pocket, attaching to a keychain, or wearing on a chain around your neck. All in all, this one gets a definite "buy" recommendation form me. As long as you understand what it is and what it isn't, you won't be disappointed.

Great product for a great price would definitely recommend just very hard to break up with the metal unless you put some kind of like tape or something around it if your hands are super wet or sweaty from anxiety like mine are. Great product I would recommend getting again, I would definitely recommend to someone who needs one and once my breaks I'm getting a new one of these most likely unless something better out there, but this is the best one I found so far.

* note: before you give this cute little guy about review, I have noticed the same exact type of pill. It will depend also on the brand whether it’s generic or not, because some of my pills snip in the powder immediately while others that are the same exact pill but a different brand name have a more dense pack or maybe a little tight processing when they were made and sometimes I’ll open that and I have to kind of just go back down, unscrewed a little bit shake it around and do it again it’s not the device, but some pills are made a bit more compact than other types and if you have a certain pill you’re taking that’s a vitamin try a different brand if it’s not popping and cracking right away, but I absolutely love this thing. I really wasn’t expecting it to be as nice as it is. It’s got a nice way to it. It almost looks like a piece of jewelry. It has a very cool look to it so it doesn’t look like a plastic medical pool crusher and it’s not an eyesore on the counter. It works great take a second to twist it. The only thing I wish it had was the top piece if that twisted so you can put your finger through the loop and hold it and twist the top instead of the bottom, but it’s perfect. I didn’t want something that looks like a medical weird or baby device because a lot of these pressure look like different babies, colorful plastic. This is a nice solid weight. A great price does a job perfectly and quick.

This is by far the best crusher I've ever owned! I would give it 5 stars but I'll get into the reason I did not in a second. This is real stainless steel, perfect size and will last a lifetime! I've seen that a lot of people said pills were very hard to crush with it... They are mistaken( sorta). As the description reads both the crusher compartment and the storage compartment are water proof. This is achieved by rubber O rings that sit at the bottom of the threads. You have to take the O ring for the crusher OFF! Yes you will sacrifice that compartment being water proof, but the thickness of the O ring causes so much gap at the bottom of the crusher that it makes it very hard to crush. Without the O ring, achieving a fine powder was super easy. For me this was not an issue since the storage compartment itself is still water proof and that Oring can stay. Which brings me to the only real CON for me... I did not like the key chain/ carabiner attachment AT ALL! It felt very janky and made the device akward to use. IMO the device is too large and heavy to actually attach to your keys.... And why would you?! Lol. So I had to make a pin on a lathe and press fit it into the hole where the key chain was. After doing so... It made this crusher PERFECT. ***The pics I attached are AFTER I modified the crusher***

Hice lo q recomendaron un par d personas: quitar el anillo de hule de la parte trituradora para q baje hasta abajo y deje lo más pulverizado posible. NO queda todo como talco; al menos con mis fuerzas, pero Sí quedan bastante pulverizados como para mezclarse con la comida y no se nota al comer. Primero intenté en el té, pero se asienta y queda en el fondo si no se toma todo enseguida. A la vez me ayudó mucho partir en dos las pastillas más grandes ya q requiere de cierta fuerza para darles la primera apachurrada donde se siente q se quiebra la pastilla. Despúes de esa primera funciona muy bien un movimiento girando con y contra el reloj hasta q la ranura donde estaba el hule quede casi totalmente cerrado otra vez. Primero sentí q era muy tardado, pero conforme agarré este modo resultó bastante rápido aunque sean muchas pastillas.

É muito pequeno e não dá espaço para utilizar com conforto. Deixa muitos pedaços grandes, que não passam na seringa. Não recomendo.

Very well made product, would be perfect if the tolerances permitted a better crush. Unfortunately I could only crush pills to small “rubble” size not to a dust like consistency required to mix with liquid medium and administer to someone orally with a syringe. (The particles are just too big and get stuck in the tip of the syringe) I tried taking off the rubber O-ring above the thread but it made no difference to the travel of the screw thread. If the design was modified slightly to crush pills to finer particles this would be the perfect product as all the plastic screw style pill crushers become scored and scratched with continued use. Back to the stainless steel mortar and pestle unfortunately.
