Okay, it's a big glass jar. It looks like a jar and works like a jar. It brings a little bit of country flavor to a high-tech world. I use this as a display vessel for a large pinecone a friend brought back from a hike. The silver tin lid is a nice contrast to the usually "brass-colored" mason jar lids. I can't speak to the airtightness and leakproofness, but the lids do appear to seal tight.

I love this so much I have 2 of them I use one for my sugar. Usually I have to put my sugar in a plastic container but with this one it doesn't accumulate condensation so my sugar stays fresh. I highly recommend this product. It hold a 10 lb bag of sugar.

This is a nice sturdy glass container. I was surprised and it came in a box with just a tissue paper type wrap ( 1 piece). And no where on the box did it say glass or fragile. BUT it came in perfect condition. So I am happy.

exactly what i was looking for. i use this to store powder laundry detergent. i gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of packaging. it was wrapped in one layer or bubble wrap just put into a large box with other items. the lid came with a pretty big dent around the lip. it still screws shut, just didn't expect to have a dented lid. contacted Amazon and they refunded me and all of that was easy and painless but really wish i had a better lid.

I needed a big mason jar for a candle centerpiece. This one is perfect! I’m pleased and can’t wait for our guests to see our beautiful table at Christmas brunch. The snow is Epson salt… And it smells pretty good too :-).
