I got the brushed gold set for our new house. Only had silverware before but wanted a change. These are excellent, as a family we use them daily, they go in the dishwasher and come out as new. No marks or fading at all. Would highly recommend as the are on another level when the table is all dressed up.

I’ll start off by saying this silverware set is beautiful. I truly love it so far. It’s heavy duty, with a nice clean black matte finish, and it just looks good. Haven’t had any issues with the coating coming off (yet, I’m skeptical still)With that being said, here is my issue:CHECK EACH PIECE UPON ARRIVAL FOR DAMAGE—The packaging needs major help. Each utensil is packaged in its own plastic bag and rubber banded to its like utensils. The problem with this is that when it’s shipped, the silverware bangs around in the box so much (we all know how packages are mistreated) that by the time it gets to you it’s scratched up and damaged because there’s no cushion around the sharp ends of the forks or knives, and they scratch against the spoons pretty aggressively. I’ve received 2 sets that I’ve had to ask for replacements, which I went through and made sure I had a full 20 pieces that weren’t damaged or I switched out what was. This isn’t cheap silverware (although not extremely expensive) so accepting even the slightest scratch is not going to happen....So all in all, if it isn’t damaged it’s great! Protective packaging would be a plus!

This set is exactly what I wanted. It is more of a matte gold. I have been using them everyday for a month. I wash them in the dishwasher. They hold up and look just as nice as the usual silver set of silverware.
