I suffer from dry eyes. Even though I use prescription eye drops, along with Systane lubricant eye drops, I'd wake up in the morning with my eyes so dry that they burned. I'd also have blurred vision for nearly an hour until they'd clear up. Since I started using the nighttime gel, my eyes feel more comfortable when I wake up, & I don't have to deal with the horrible burning or blurred vision! This comes in a tube, which at first I thought was an ointment, but it's not. It's a thick liquid which you can easily squeeze into your eyes. If you've ever used Systane gel drops, this is slightly thicker than them. It's fantastic for keeping your eyes lubricated overnight, while you sleep. I just wish I'd tried them sooner!

Nice quality, clear ointment. Not thick, opaque and stick-like. I use this all day long. It lasts longer and I can see after a few blinks. Stays on the lid margins and provides longer relief than drops. I love the 10 mg tube - easier to handle and doesn't get easily lost.

Systane Lubricant Eye Gel is absolutely wonderful, especially for nighttime use. I’ve tried many eye drops over the years, but this gel stands out for its ability to coat and protect the top of the eyeball — exactly where regular drops often don’t reach or last. It provides deep, lasting moisture that stays in place throughout the night, leaving my eyes feeling refreshed and comfortable in the morning. Especially when you "stare" at a screen ALL DAY long. The texture is thick enough to truly protect but not so heavy that it feels uncomfortable. My personal opinion, if you struggle with dryness, especially on the surface or top area of your eyes, this is a must-have. Highly recommend for anyone needing reliable, soothing overnight relief!

Due to cataract surgery in both eyes and laser surgery in both eyes for glaucoma, I have been left with very dry eyes; especially when I wake up in the morning. During the day I use Systane Lubricating drops. They work well during the day but they just don't work all night. When I wake up my eyes are very dry and stingy. I have problems even opening them. I have tried a ton of drops by a lot of different makers. The night time gels, as far as I'm concerned, were terrible. They are petroleum jelly based and didn't moisten my eyes at all. Just kind of gooped them up and were hard to get cleaned out in the morning, not to mention not being able to see well due to greasiness, and were still pretty dry under the mess. The gel didn't seem to moisten at all, just keep the air away from my eyes. I started using the Systane Gel Overnight Therapy about a year ago. It is a viscus solution. It isn't oily or greasy like the the thick petroleum gels. The instructions say to put one or two drops in your eyes before bed. Well, that's impossible. This stuff won't "drop". If you hang the dropped over year eye long enough and squeeze the tube, eventually you get a glob, not a drop. I use it by pulling my lower eye lid down and running a "bead" right along the inside of it. It all gets into my eye nicely and makes for an even spreading on my eye when I blink a few times. If I get up in the middle of the night, my eyes are still moist and comfortable. By the morning, they have dried considerably but are still much more moist than anything else I have used. Just one drop of the Lubricating drops in each eye is all I need to be comfortable. I am only giving four stars, as in my experience, no one makes a 5 star product. To give the others I've tried a two or three really is pushing it too. This gel doesn't solve my problems completely, but is by far the best I have used. I highly recommend it for anyone with really dry eyes at night. Applied as I suggested above, it will be a very pleasant experience.

This is great eye gel to use at bedtime. It feels so cool and refreshing when I put it in. All you need to do is squeeze a drop of two on the inner part of your eye, the part closest to your nose, then blink and few times, and the gel spreads over your entire eye. By the time you wake, your eyes are clear and refreshed. No hazy feeling until your eyes clear in the morning. This is especially great for people with dry eye or those who suffer eyestrain from having to work on a computer all day like I do. Even with a blue light filter on, our eyes are strained when it's dark, and winter is coming pretty fast now. The days are already getting shorter, meaning those of us who work at the computer in the evening will be subject to even more eyestrain than in the summer. Be aware, though, that this is a gel. You're going to be able to see after you put it in your eyes, but your vision will be very cloudy, so don't put it in until you're ready to lay down and go to sleep. This is a great eye gel to pair with one of the Systane brands for daytime. I've found this brand works best for me, and I stay with it. Great value for the money, too. A tube last quite a long time, even with nightly use.
