I swear, the SECOND I turned 40, I developed incredibly stubborn acne along my jawline. I tried everything: salicylic acid, witch hazel, exfoliating, moisturizing, not moisturizing, everything. Nothing helped. I was getting ready to go to the dermatologist (with no insurance, mind you), but I decided to buy this stuff as a Hail Mary. It arrived yesterday and I put a little on before work, then a little before bed. It’s been less than 24 hours and that acne is 85% gone!!! WHAT?! Keep in mind I run a restaurant and was literally hovering over oil for several hours last night and this stuff still did its job. Amazing and worth every penny.

I swear by this product. The cleanser leave your skin clean and a bit moisturized and works to eliminate or lessen acne. (Step 3 is the real moisturizer, and acne treatment.) I've been using this half my life and I don’t have acne anymore—I stopped having acne during the pandemic, about 5 years ago. I keep using this because it’s also beneficial to balance your PH, which also lessens acne, I think. Get this and the moisturizer/benzoyl peroxide (Step 3). For step 2 you can just get any salicylic acid toner, and cotton pads.

This is the genuine product, I purchased it "ships and sold from Amazon.com". It is costly, but it's the only thing that works and I have no idea why. I had zero acne in my teenage years, but after having my 3rd baby in my 20's my hormones and chemistry must have changed because I've had difficult adult acne for the past 10 years (I'm 36). I used this for several years in my 20's with great results, but then I tried to move to cheaper things or stuff that is supposed to be better and healthier for your skin. Nothing else works. I tried Differin gel for a year, I tried only using sensitive skin cosdna approved face wash for a year, (CeraVe, Cetaphil), I tried the Neutrogena salicylic acid soaps and lotions (the orange pump bottle, the pink grapefruit line), I tried going to the dermatologist and going on a clindamycin cream, I took vitamins, I went dairy free, I even just recently tried the Curology line for about 10 months (with 3 formula changes to attempt to get better results) with absolutely no dice. I even tried the Neutrogena & Clean & Clear benzoyl peroxide creams you can get in drug stores. Nope! Maybe they'd work a little, or just for a little while, but my face has honestly just been looking terrible. I gave up and spent the money on a bottle of the step 3 Proactiv and what do you know, after 3 days my face looks better than it has in a couple years. It is pretty drying, if you ask me, and I have sensitive (obviously) acne prone oily skin. I know they say benzoyl peroxide is bad for your skin, and you can get other benzoyl peroxide creams in any big box store, but this is just the only one that works and works well, and my skin looks so much clearer with it, I don't care if it's bad for my skin. It's better than the horrific acne and leftover red blemishes all over my face. I recommend.
