Best Fuel Additive
Usually you will hear products being advertised as "Magic in a bottle." As we all know that there is never a magic solution to any of our problems, I can tell you that this is the closest thing to it, fuel additive-wise. I'm the type of person who always keeps up with routine maintenance with all of my vehicles. I get an oil change every 3,000 miles, even if I'm using a synthetic blend. Having said that, I also use a fuel additive every oil change. It may be unnecessary, but it's cheap and it gives me piece of mind. I've never had any major engine/fuel issues, so I'd like to think I'm doing something right. I usually opt for the Lucas fuel additive every oil change that does into the gas tank. From some mechanic friends, this is supposedly a pretty good product. Although I add this every 3,000 miles, I've never really been able to tell a difference performance-wise. The same goes to the other fuel additives I've used in the past. I tried B&G's 44k for the first time, a while back based on a recommendation from a local shop. I've never heard of it before and I thought it was quite expensive for a fuel additive (approx. $20 vs. your standard $3-$5 bucks). I decided to research the product when I got home and I found that it had great reviews. I decided to give 44k a shot. As expensive as it is for a fuel additive, it's still a small investment. I'm glad that I did. This has been the only fuel additive where I actually noticed a difference in performance. Nothing significant (again, there is no such thing as "Magic in a bottle"), but I definitely could tell it was working. I had an increase in MPG and I could feel a little more HP when accelerating. Now, I won't be using this every oil change as it's only recommended once or twice a year. So I'll be using this every 3rd oil change and continue to use the Lucas in between. FYI - I currently drive a 2001 Jeep Cherokee (XJ)

“Noticeable Improvement After Just One Use!”
“Noticeable Improvement After Just One Use!” I used the BG 44K Fuel System Cleaner in my car and was genuinely impressed with the results. After just one tank, I noticed the engine ran smoother, and the acceleration felt more responsive. It’s easy to use—just pour the can into a nearly empty gas tank before filling it up. What I really liked is that it didn’t cause any odd smells or engine hesitation like some cleaners I’ve tried before. It feels like it gave my car a much-needed reset, especially since I drive regularly in city traffic. If you’re looking for a high-quality fuel system cleaner that actually makes a difference, this one is worth trying. I’ll definitely buy it again.

Audi S5 4.2L wow wow wow!
First, I would like to start off by addressing ALL AUDI OWNERS who are dealing with the common Carbon Buiid up, random misfiring codes and or rough cold starts. THIS S@!? WORKS!! I was hopeful that this stuff would work, or at the very least, make somewhat of a difference. I have to admit that this fuel system cleaner, really is magic in a bottle. My car no longer has rough cold start and throws out random misfiring codes. This product seemed to open clogged areas within my engine and literally feels like the car is 9 times more responssive and has a much much aggressive growl to my afternarket exhaust. I ran a bottle through a half of tank and went out on a 100mile ride. At 50 miles, I reached my destination, had dinner, and turned around. On my route back home? was when I noticed the car was so much more responsive. Of course I ran out of gas before I made it home, but at this point I was still not sure if it was just all in my head, the next day was sure to be a game changer. I starting the car and witness no crazy rough start and had a super smooth idling down from 1800 rpm's to 500 rpms with no CEL displaying. I tripled check Vag com and guess what? No misfiring codes either. I ordered 3 more bottles the very same minute while sitting in the car. Whatever this stuff is? seems to work on my carbon built up misfiring codes. I'm not sure if I'm suppose to run mutible bottles back to back, but I am running a second bottle (a week later) on a full tank. I typically never ride 100 miles and live in the city. So, this second bottle will be on a full tank. This will be running through my day to day usage in the city. A mechanic wanted 500$ for the labor to clean out the carbon build up. 500$ was a great deal, but the parts needed? Was seriously over the top. 1400$ in parts included new injectors, spark plugs, oil, gaskets and injector seal kit. Apparently a carbon clean is "pointless" without new injectors. Smh... Either way, this stuff saved a lot of money and I hope to continue to see results well after, just like the rest of the buyers on here. I hope this stuff works for you and that this message was helpful.

Better Idle. Great for injectors.
BG 44K works! I have a 2016 Subaru STI with 60,000 miles and modifications (go figure) that makes 310 WHP. Not crazy because I'm not trying to blow the block. Lately, I have had some rough idle issues, specifically misfires in cylinder #4. The misfire counts were low with no more than 5 and average of 1 or 2. I put this product in my tank, filled it up with Costco gas, and drove like normal. It has been 1.5 weeks and a half tank since. The misfires at idle are gone. For supporting data, I referenced my Injector Duty Cycle. When the misfires were happening (before adding BG 44K) when idle the injectors operated at 0.96% and after the half tank, they were at 0.90%. Also, the Air-Fuel Ratio is more consistently hitting a 14.7-14.8, before it was 14.9-15.1. The fuel system flows better through the injectors and more efficiently. *Data collected at idle ~750 rpm with no accessory loads.* **I cannot speak accurately about any change in fuel milage as I have not driven far enough to collect that data. And traffic is unpredictable. Although, some of the reviews claim better milage.** Cost: BG 44K is on the high side of fuel treatments on the market. I have used others like STP and never felt like it did anything to truly clean the fuel system. I recommend using it every 30,000 miles. Anymore and it is a waste. Unless you are the kind of person that races to work in ten minutes to not be late, on an empty tank, you will be fine with longer use intervals. But that's another issue entirely. Location: Pacific Northwest. Ethanol in the pump gas can range from 8% to 12%. Not the most ideal but what can you do? Background: I am a technician. No, I am not promoting this product. A dealership I worked for did use BG products and I did notice differences in vehicle performance when conducting services with BG products. Most notable was the gear oil treatment on manual transmissions. The Direct Inject engines take the fuel system cleaners well. If you are having carbon build-up issues check it out. It has been difficult to find a BG dealer where I located and was surprised to see them on Amazon.

UPDATE April 22 2017 :my good mechanic buddy suggested I should use this product on ...
Previous experience: During one of my regular visit for brake change and oil change with a "Chain Service organization" which starts with letter M, my good mechanic buddy suggested, I should use this product on my wife Toyota Camry 2004 with currently 222K miles, this was 2 years back, at that time worked perfectly, recently the same car was running rough, and he asked me when was the last time you had changed you spark plugs, I said "I do not remember" ( I am do not even remember if spark plugs were ever changed on this car, I just keep it oiled and serviced.), this triggered a thought , why not use the same product he recommended 2 years back, so I went ahead and ordered BG 44K Fuel System Cleaner (2 cans), and received it two days back, and put one Can in my wife car (Toyota Camry LE 2004), when the gas tank was about 1/2 tank full, and drove 165 miles, I could see the power, engine power and noticed how smooth and noiseless the engine was running at "Cruising Speed" of 15 miles above posted speed, someone recommended , that I pour this fluid while the tank is about 1/4 full, refill the gas again so this time went ahead and refilled the tank back to "full", this time filled up expensive gas just to give the "Fuel Cleaner" additional power and filled it with "Chevron" top tier gas, and drove another 160 miles, WOW ! this car runs like new, no lights on dashboard. I think my wife will be proud of me. Today , I decided I use the second Can on my 2010 Honda Accord V6 EXL /NAV, which has about 90K miles (w/ half tank of gas), there has been few intermittent problem with the "ECO" mode software on these cars and recently had the lights come on, and a software update and "Spark plugs" were replaced under HONDA warranty,( Honda knows about this problem), They had replaced the spark plugspreviously, I did the same with this car drove about 25 miles now and refilled with Chevron "Top tier" gas, so far so good, the car is running smoother and see that the 3rd cylinder does not unnecessary kick in when the car is running in cruise. No dashboard lights. Next step is to observe both the cars for mileage improvement. Based on "Initial Purchase Satisfaction", based on previous "Use Satisfaction" based on my mechanics recommendation, is a 4-Star, I will say this product is pretty expensive it is like filling 1/2 tank of gas in some cars, will try to use it at least once a year. UPDATE April 22 2017 : Background : My car was giving about 480 miles/full tank (about 17.7 gallons/tank) After running the my Honda 2010 EXL-V6 Navigation with this product as described earlier, my Phase-1 of the treatment was completed, and I could feel the car running smoother, and the V6 power coming back at right time, also "ECO" mode started at lower RPM around 2200 rpm instead of 2500 rpm at speeds of 65-70 miles/hour, once this phase was completed ,my next gas tank fill was around 17.7 (gallons) with regular Shell gas, after running about 128 miles at about 1/4th tank , the full tank mileage has a potential is pegging at around 512 miles/full tank about 7% improvement in miles/gallon.

The REAL deal. VERY impressive.
My wife's Lexus IS-250 started running like CRAP and the check engine light came on. The codes were P0300 (random misfire), P0301 (cylinder 1 misfire), and P0303 (cylinder 3 misfire). The codes would return immediately after a reset. I looked this up online and the solutions were all over the place; from new ignition coils to having Lexus rebuild the top end to remove carbon deposits ($190 to $4000+)! I guess the problem stems from the high performance way the cylinders are [fuel] injected and carbon can build up on the pistons, valves, and cylinder head. A friend of mine who is the real life Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker's character in Fast and Furious) told me to clean the mass airflow sensor with CRC MAS cleaner and use 2 cans of this stuff. After running 2 cans in two tanks respectively, the problem is GONE! Runs perfect and no more lights! I am a firm believer and am buying more BK44G for my other vehicles (as preventative maintenance). It costs a lot, but this stuff saved me a TON of money! P.S. For full disclosure, I also added StarTron to each tank of gas as well. Another product I firmly believe in.

BG 44K worked wonders for me!
My 2001 Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa sat in the garage for years due to severe orthopedic arthritis that had developed in my shoulders. I would go out and start it occasionally, but one day it wouldn't start and I noticed the fuel pump wasn't pressuring up when I turned the ignition on. Then it sat for ANOTHER few years until I finally had shoulder replacement surgery performed. Some time later, I was in good enough shape to ride again, so I set about the task of restoring my bike. The tank had rusted and the fuel pump was a rusted, locked up mess as well. I cleaned and treated the tank and replaced the fuel pump and strainer. On first start, the bike barely ran on one cylinder. I thought sure I was going to have to spend big bucks to have the entire fuel system and injectors cleaned when I read about BG 44K. I was skeptical because none of these additives had ever worked for me before and I just wasn't buying the "miracle in a can" hype, but I thought perhaps it wouldn't hurt to give it a try. I spoke with BG customer support and explained my situation, and they were very helpful and recommended using the entire can in my 5 gallon tank for the severe problem I described, said it wouldn't hurt a thing. After adding BG 44K to a full tank of gas, I started the bike and ran it on one cylinder until it came up to temperature and shut down overnight to let the treatment soak in. Repeated the next day, second cylinder kicked in! Shut down overnight again and repeated again the next day and the third cylinder came to life. Two more repetitions and all four cylinders were firing. Then I was able to ride my bike again for the first time in many years. It ran a little rough at first, but by the time I had run completely through that one tank of gas with the BG 44K treatment, the fuel system was completely clean and the bike ran strong just as if it was new! I couldn't believe it! I've put another 300 miles on the bike and haven't looked back - still running perfectly with no issues. Highly recommended.

Hay this is good stuff. I have been using it for 21 ...
Hay this is good stuff. I have been using it for 21 years. I started working as a vehicle fleet manager, and found a few cans in the parts room. No body knew what it was so I called the company. After being told how good it cleans injectors and intake and the valves of baked on carbon we started using it. Every 3 months when a pickup came in for maintenance we put a can in the gas tank. I know it was a little excessive but these ford pickups just went around town not any freeway usage. What surprised me was when we had to change an intake manifold gasket what a surprise how sparkling clean this big V8 Injector body, intake and intake valves were. After the second year we had to start the smog inspections again and the same shop did them again. The shop manager called me and asked what the heck we were doing to these trucks because the emissions were coming down, instead of gradually rising an high mileage vehicles do. I explained it to him. I am retired now and still use this stuff. I replaces my truck 1987 Chevy pickup and pulled the heads to see how clean the intake and exhaust valves were and I couldn't believe it for 200,000 miles on it. I give this product 5 stars. and still use it.
