Superb Coffee! Doesn’t break the bank!
So excited to finally find a coffee my picky husband loves! And he is absolutely right! It is delicious. I even prefer it to Kona Peaberry! Definitely buying again.

An excellent bean.
The best coffee bean I have tried so far. Whether I use my french press or do it yourself Keurig k-cup maker, I get a great cup of coffee that tastes great , smooth with a great finish. I grind my own coffee so I can adjust the grind to not over extract flavor. I drink it black, no need to add anything. Also, it appears to lower in acid than other beans so that's great form my stomach. Yes, it's a bit pricey but well worth the extra money to get an excellent cup of coffee.

Exceeded my Expectations.
The flavor is beyond expectations. The brew is incredibly smooth, no bitterness, and has a mild, sweet taste and aroma. This is the best Costa Rican medium roast flavor I've ever experienced. Very fresh tasting peaberry bean. Excellent value and fairly priced.

Great way to keep good coffee in your cup!
After spending time in Costa Rica I fell in love with the coffee there. Using the Amazon subscription for VOLCANICA Costa Rican Coffee, variuous types, really filled the need for me. If you like robust flavor without bitterness - give it a try!

Best while freshly ground!
To me this as good as Café Britt's Tres Rios. Very smooth, but flavorful coffee. It's hard not to drink the entire pot. It tastes good whether it's made in a conventional drip machine or if it's made in a Chemex/Hario. The important thing to know about this particular coffee is that you have to make your coffee right after you grind the beans or the flavor will go bad. You have probably 2-3 hours before it starts to smell "odd" and it tastes as odd as it smells. Aside from that tiny hiccup, I highly recommend this coffee to people who want to try Costa Rican coffee

Was rated top Costa Rican coffee -- I don't think so....
I first tasted Costa Rican coffee when visiting that wonderful country. I remember it being so rich and flavorful I had to buy a bag of 1820 to take home. Since then I have tried many single source CR coffees. My favorite so far is the medium roasted Tarrazu from the FreshRoastedCoffee.com. I read a review of Costa Rican coffees and they rated this one from Volcanica at the top. I spent $21 for a pound to see. I was disappointed by the lack of fresh aroma when I opened the bag. The coffee lacked the complex deep rich flavor I had become accustomed to. I would not buy this again.

Excellent tasting coffee!!
I am a retired senior & have drank coffee all my life but always with a lot of creamer. I always found black coffee to be bitter & have an aftertaste!! After seeing something on TV saying Costa Rica produced the very best coffee beans - I decided to try these out. I had decided to cut the creamer out of my diet as I don't believe it to be a healthy choice. These beans did not disappoint!!! Delicious with no bitterness or aftertaste. I found I can drink it black or with a little bit of raw honey. My biggest concern is the cost & don't get me wrong - I think it is worth it, however my budget may not allow me to continue - I am going to have to wait & see how long the bag of beans last. I will admit however, I am only a 1 cup in the morning person! To me - just a great tasting blend!!!
