Of course there are more expensive cable testers out there but this one seems to handle everything that I need it to and comes at a much more attractive price!

Picked this product up for a couple of jobs I had upcoming. It worked like a champ on the first job and I was very pleased. Went to the next job less than a week later and the probe barely picks up a tone and the cable test features does not work. Replaced the batteries, and same issue. Tried it again at a third job site to confirm it was the product. Sure enough, same issue. If this is a device you plan on using regularly, save up and get a better quality unit. *Update* Was contacted by seller and given a warranty replacement. Representative handling the claim was extremely nice and made the replacement process easy. I have used the replacement on three jobs and it has performed without issue.

The ideal companion for network installations. This device allows you to trace wiring until you can identify the exact point, it is very accurate.

Easy to use and worked as indicated. Let me track down all the network cables in my house that terminate unmarked into cabinet. Included alligator clips let me track down electrical wiring connections (once the power was off of course). Just turn down the volume as it may cause your ears to bleed if set to max.

Good for basic task, but if you are a professional. Buy better product.
