What's the difference between the firewall only model and the more expensive versions? i.e. if i just need a high speed reliable vpn with a firewall?

Hello Elliander, The firewall only model is just that - no security services or support. 90-day firmware updates. The more expensive versions have security services and support. We are going to upgrade from a Sonic Wall 100. Can we export the configuation from the old model to this new one?

Hello Julie, Though it may be possible (no guarantee) to export the configuration from the TZ100 to the new TZ350, we and SonicWall highly suggests to export those configuration for you to review and then do a manual configuration with the TZ350. There reason being is... 1) The OS is completely different. Multiple revisions different. 2) There would be no guarantee that anything would export or work properly. 3) There are features in the new TZ350 that may interfere or that you may want to activate during the configuration process. 4) You will have to go through it anyway to verify all settings were exported correctly and not changed, so you might as well do a manual configuration. NOTE: The SKU 02-SSC-0942 you are considering is a hardware only appliance and does NOT include any security or support services.
