It does the job well. No backlight.

Omron does great devices and this is no exception. Takes just under a minute to beep a result. Well designed and can be washed.

Upon receipt I used it to measure my body temperature. I followed the instructions but was surprised to see 35.4°C. I should be dead if this is true. I immediately activated the return. Not recommended.

Lo que más destaco es su rapidez: ofrece una lectura en solo 10 segundos, lo que es ideal, especialmente cuando se trata de niños pequeños. La punta flexible es un gran plus, ya que lo hace mucho más cómodo para uso oral, axilar o incluso rectal. Además, es resistente al agua, así que limpiarlo después de cada uso es muy sencillo. Omron has a great reputation for health products, so when I saw this on Amazon for £2.50. I had to pick it up. It comes with a well fitted one-piece flexible clear plastic case that should protect the thermometer when not in use. Takes about 80 seconds for an oral reading (all that I tested, but will do rectal and under the arm readings too according to the clear manual.) The thermometer comes ready to use with installed button battery. Manual is in English and about 10 other languages. I was able to switch the thermometer to Fahrenheit, as specified in the manual, but the switching can be a little dodgy in my experience. Follow the instructions carefully. Once switched, this temperature scale becomes the new default at switch on. The thermometer beeps 3 times when temperature can be read. It does a power up check to test the accuracy of the instrument each time you turn it on. The last completed reading is stored in memory and re-played when the unit is switched on. I would have liked the temperature readings to be faster, but at this price and accuracy, I cannot complain.

Ich habe mir einfach mal zwei verschiedene Thermometer bei Amazon bestellt da ich mich nicht wirklich entscheiden konnte und eh zwei kaufen wollte. Ich habe das Thermometer gegen zwei weitere von anderen Hersteller probiert und alle drei zeigten bei zwei verschiedenen Wassertemperaturen bei mehreren Messungen nahezu den gleichen Wert an (manchmal hatte eines 1/10 mehr als die anderen, bei der nächsten Messung wieder nicht oder ein anderes). Gehe also deshalb mal davon aus dass es genau genug misst um festzustellen ob man Fieber hat und wie hoch es ungefähr ist. Auf 1/10 hin oder her kommt es dabei ja nicht an. Das Thermometer wird direkt mit Batterie geliefert und somit gleich einsetzbar. Es steckt sicher in seiner Hülle aus der es einfach entnehmbar und auch wieder einsteckbar ist. Erwähnenswert: Die Hülle hat hinten keinen Deckel was für mich ein großer Vorteil ist. Beim alten ist mir regelmäßig der Deckel runtergefallen und der hüpfte dann meist natürlich unter den Schrank. Kann hier nicht passieren. Das Thermometer wird nur in die Hülle reingesteckt und klackt dann ein. Die Hülle schützt es vor Verschmutzungen dürfte aber bei einem Sturz nicht viel helfen. Bei einem Artikel dieser Preisklasse ist das aber auch kein Problem. Verglichen mit meinem ältesten Thermometer das inzwischen über 10 Jahre alt ist war ich sehr positiv von der Geschwindigkeit überrascht! Es dauert geschätzt 8-10 Sekunden bis es piept um zu signalisieren dass die Messung abgeschlossen ist. Beim Alten hat das teils 30 Sekunden gedauert. Hört sich nicht wichtig an aber wenn man ein wehleidiges Kind mit Fieber vor sich liegen hat das am meckern ist dann erleichtert es einem die "Arbeit" schon ungemein wenn man nur 10 Sekunden auf das Kind einreden muss statt 30 Sekunden. Klare Kaufempfehlung!
