Great bounce feel but could be bigger
Bought this for practicing at home. It meets my expectation of being a practice pad. Bounces great, even on uneven surfaces. The only gripe is that I wished the surface was bigger. But the size makes it very portable. Otherwise, just great.

I'm a novice guitarist. I bought a practice drum pad and sticks, to round out my timing and rhythm skills. The music store I bought the pad from had no stand at all. I have been playing on a chair. I found this, and I'm so pleased I bought it! It is an Evans stand for my Evans 7 inch pad. Super sturdy and durable. I set it up to play in my apartment and it's quiet! I won't bug the neighbors above or below me. The main stem is 3/4 inch. I will probably go to the hardware store to get a flat plastic washer, to put under the pad to mount. Very stable! In one of the pics I added a quarter for comparison.

Been using this for 2 months, so far it’s been working great

The gum rubber side (grey) has a very nice feel, it gives a lot of rebound similar to that of a kit snare drum where as the black harder side has a marching snare-like feel to it. It is excellent for performing all 40 of the standard rudiments and is quite enough to be used in places such as a bedroom it creates little noise even with hard strokes. It can also be used on any surface as the reverse side acts as a grip to stop it moving, while the actual pad absorbs all hits so the surface being played on wont take any damage. Overall an excellent product I would recommend it to any drummer as an essential pad above any on the market currently.
