I purchased this vet set for my 2 1/2 year old grandson. I was worried he would get frustrated because of the four different keys that opened the doors. At first he needed some help, but it didn't take long for him to master the shape and color differences to open each door. He played at length, unlocking and locking the doors, taking out the animals and moving them to different "cages". We added some other small stuffed animals to make it more fun! He also enjoyed popping out the side table and the owl, and pretending to take the animals' temperatures. Overall, a great toy for using imagination and developing coordination skills. He has had the toy for seven months. It has held up well, and continues to be a toy he plays with often.
