Teaches a great message, but I think my 5-yr-old niece isn't at the age to really get into it. Maybe in a year or two, unless the kid you're getting it for has a good attention span.

My son loved the book. It's entertaining and it shows that we need to care for the environment.

Bought this for a friend's child - I love the story but also feel strongly that every child should read it or watch it, especially in this age of consumption (the irony that I bought it on Amazon isn't lost of me!)

Book came quickly, it is a birthday gift for my grandsons friend. This has been my grandsons favorite book since he was one and one half years old, he is now 3. It is a wonderful story about protecting our environment beautifully illustrated and magically written so a toddler to a small child can understand. Wonderful story with an important lesson to learn.
