CLC Custom Leathercraft Keystone Series 1521 Large Cell Holder

Being a fan of CLC tool belts and other equipment, I figured I'd give these Keystone series belt holders a try. Their construction quality is quite good as to be expected from CLC. However, I wish they had conferred with people who actually own phones other than the standard types. I have a Droid, and although dimensionally it fits, the folded style interior of this case does not make it easy to slide it in and out. A little less wide and bulkier a phone with more rounded edges may have done better but if CLC had just made the phone pocket smooth without the convoluted sides folding into the recess, it would have been better.Also, there is way too much open area around the top flap, enabling dirt and dust to get to your phone easily. Suggest anyone looking to hold a Droid style phone get the horizontal holder instead, it is much better.If I were CLC, I would have also added a nylon fixed loop under the plastic clip for people who don't want any chance of the phone popping off their belts. I assume that people who actually work for a living are who these are marketed for. I do like the fixed dimension flashlight loop versus the nylon stretchy thing. Much easier to return your flashlight to the belt without looking.I would only give it 3.5 stars based on the main pocket design, but it gets more for quality of construction. Just make sure your phone fits, doesn't have squarish edges and you don't need to completely protect it from the elements.And since neither Amazon or CLC has seen fit to provide dimensions: inner pocket is about 4.5 X 2.5 and will be a little less if what you put in there is quite thick. Overall dimension is about 4 X 5 and 1.75 thick.

Got this for a blackberry and to carry a flashlight and bullet pen. Works great+ very sturdily built

I like to keep my cell phone and keys in a safe place so this add on belt clip works great for those things. I don't have to worry about loosing my keys or breaking my phone while I am working. Great protection!
