Sand Blasting Cabinet
We had this delivered twice due to damage in shipping. We finally got it worked out (Amazon is very good about customer satisfaction). My husband has been using it for several months now and loves it. It keeps the garage clean so I'm happy.

Hard Working Blaster
Works good, We've got about 20 hours on it so far with no problems. It will take two people to put it together and takes about 20 minutes. The top cabinet come assembled. You need to put the bottom hopper on and the legs. The air inlet for blasting is on the front right lower corner. We put a 90 on it with a 36" long, 1/4" diameter whip hose, that way the air connection will lay on the floor. We run it at about 60-70 psi. We stuck a shop vac on the hole in back for dust collection. We put a bag in the shop vac, that way the filter didn't get plugged up with the fine sand/dust. Another option we have used in the past was a Dust Deputy to filter out the fine dust. That way you can dump the blasting media back into your blasting cabinet. It has a fluorescent light inside with a switch outside, it is kinda cheesy but it has been working just fine. It also comes with a glass protector installed, to keep the glass from getting blasted, and four or five extras. You'll need 50 pounds of blast media to get started and I would recommend a second 50 pound container to throw in once in a while to account for media lose to the shop vac. We are using 80 grit glass and the unit handles it just fine. We also are using an air dryer on the compressed air to help keep the blast media dry.

Good cabinet with minor disappointments
This cabinet is a good starting cabinet or if you have occasional use. Structurally it is good and fairly sturdy. Mine came missing the legs and after several communications with Amazon customer service I was able to get that resolved but ended up buying a reduced price and making my own legs. The other issue for me is the light that is included, It quickly gets pitted with dust and rust and is nearly useless. I have already changed it to a much brighter light. This is not a bad priced cabinet and it is a good size for a home shop or hobbyist.

Much better in overall construction than the ones from Harbor Freight ...
Much better in overall construction than the ones from Harbor Freight and better quality. Only thing was to add a little more of the rubber padding around the loading door to prevent dust particles from coming out during running it. I find this unit suits my needs and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good unit. Sturdy construction and well worth the purchase.

Good Cabinet !!!!
I have looked at several cabinets the same size as the Nesco 480. Their price range was from, $219.00 to $340.00. The reviews on those cabinets was not great!!!!. I bought the nesco 480 blast cabinet and have no regrets!!! Assembly was a breeze, parts fit great, no broken pieces. The construction is very sturdy, nice and rigid, not some cheap flimsy piece of junk!!! Putting this cabinet together was so easy I could just laugh, (no crying involved). There are acouple of steps you might need help on, lifting the funnel to the body and tightening the bolts that hold the funnel to the body. It is still very easy to put together, This is my second cabinet as my first one is a $2700.00 SNAP ON cabinet that is bigger than the nesco 480. My snap on cabinet I use aluminum oxide and do a lot of steel small parts, paint removal and rust. My nesco cabinet I use glass bead for peening , cleaning, deburing, ect. The nesco 480 cabinet is well constructed and can easily handle aluminum oxide and steel garnet.. I would recommend this cabinet to anyone!!!! Good for shop, hobby, home use ,ect..
