Wedderspoon, Raw Manuka Honey, KFactor 16, 8.8 oz (250 g)

I've heard good things about Manuka honey, but I never expected it to be so tasty. I'm not much for the taste of honey, but this is really palatable. I've heard it's also a superfood that can help to protect against microbial problems, parasites, and even help with cold sores! Too cool. Who would have thought honey can be a medicine!?

I bought this honey for its healing benefits, but not for my husband or myself, it is for my 2 x Border Collies - they have been suffering from Kennel Cough, and I wanted to help them get better without having to use antibiotics. I give 1 teaspoon to them after they eat their breakfast every morning. One of our dogs loves the taste and thickness of the honey, but the other is not so keen so I add a little peanut butter and then he licks everything off the spoon. I have noticed that since feeding my dogs this honey that they are coughing less, and I am sure the thick honey helps to smooth their throats. It is rather expensive for my purpose, but after I finished the bottle, and used a regular raw honey, my dogs were not as enthusiastic to lick the spoon, and their coughs increased. I am continuing to use only this Manuka Honey because it works! If you have dogs that are coughing, or have allergies, I would recommend you trying out this honey. The honey is wonderful especially in coffee. It is raw honey and the flavour is truly natural. The price is far too high however with delivery compared to what I can purchase for the same honey the same way in stores. I have switched to that instead but await a possible better price in Amazon.

It's sometimes difficult to review products like this, because value is tied not only to flavor/taste - but to outcomes and efficacy. So I'll keep the review to what we can objectively evaluate. Flavor = GREAT, Texture = Silky smooth. We take the honey raw - not dissolved in hot base - so the taste and texture really matter. This product is also a good value for the money in comparison to other, more expensive, less tasty brands.
