Replacement fan is much better (upgraded from 2 stars)
This is an update to my original review which I have updated again due to a battery problem with the remote. The first fan developed a bearing noise within the return window so I requested a direct replacement from Amazon. What a difference! Sofucor must source this item from a number of manufacturers as these were very different fans. The new wood blades were not countersunk and the attaching bolts were long enough as-is (photo attached). The remote and receiver were different. The new model is reversible (which is what I expected from the first fan shipped) and the remote looks completely different (photo attached). It also uses a special A23 battery instead of two AAAs (the included 23A battery lasted only a few uses twice now so I've asked the manufacturer to replace just the remote - in the mean time, I am removing the battery when not using it). Another extremely positive point is that if the fan is turned off at the wall switch, it returns to its last setting when power is restored. This means if an overnight power outage occurs, you won't have a ceiling fan light come on unexpectedly. I have no idea how to tell in advance that you will get the better engineered fan. The new one had a sticker Zhongshan Kebaishi Electric Appliance Company on the motor housing (photo attached) which the original did not have. I did communicate my issues with the company. Having learned from my first installation, I assembled the fan on the ground rather than working vertically (photo attached). The printed installation manual was a bit easier to read BUT still differs from the physical fan design. The wiring is different from the first fan but all wires were clearly labeled and the diagram at the back of the manual is easy to follow. I also shared an idea that the short screws for the light fixture make it very difficult to line up the light with the bottom of the fan properly. I found a long version of the same thread in my miscellaneous screw bucket and cut the head off so that it when I slid the light fixture over it and centered the center opening on the fan, the other 2 screws lined up and could be inserted. I then removed my longer screw and finished with the 3rd screw for the light (photo attached). So far I am very happy with this fan. === Original review text follows: The fan is very stylish and runs quietly but the installation was a pain. First, the written instructions use the smallest possible typeface and do not match the installation video either which is animated and equally confusing. The instructions only cover the longer down pole (aka the suspender) which leaves ample room to work. The shorter down pole is much tighter. It isn't clear but don't forget to slip on the magnetic Canopy Cover between the Canopy and the Coupling Cover. The video shows installing the blades before wiring the fan but this would make wiring later much more difficult. Speaking of the blades, they come counterbored with a 1/2" wide circle to recess the bolts and washers. They are not drilled out to a consistent depth. This along with barely long enough bolts means 3 of the 6 bolts will not thread into the motor mount. I carefully used a 1/2" wood drill to slightly deepen the recess but for 1 bolt I had to leave off the washer. The bolts barely clear the top of the blade by 1/8" and should be longer. At least these slight modifications did not cause the fan to wobble which is really good as the generic wobble correction kit and instructions suggest bending the blade mount which is not something that can be done with this style blade. The instructions also show the LED lamp having 2 separate wires and not the plug used now. It is hard to fit but the clip for the plug does face downward. Push the extra wire upward to get the plug enough room to clip in. If it hadn't taken so long to put this up, I would return it but it is working well at this point with a comfortable airflow on Medium. If you turn the fan off at the wall switch it will start up next with the fan off and the light on. I guess the intent is to only use the remote control. When you do start the fan, it starts up in high briefly before switching down to the selected slower speed. I blame myself for looking at too many propeller style fans on Amazon but this one does not reverse direction for winter use. There is not a switch on the side of the motor and the unlabeled button on the remote doesn't do it either.

Beautiful upgrade
I think the installation cost more than the fan, but I LOVE it. The light and the speeds are easily changed with the remote. It replaced a standard bulky older white fan with a white glass lens over the light. The change makes a huge difference in the ambiance of the room, and the high speed was great to circulate the air in the guest room before anyone arrived.

Excellent fan and customer service
Great product, looks great, quiet and easy to install. The only issue is after 3 yrs, the remote receiver in the ceiling fan housing stopped working, making the fan not work. I reached out to their customer support and they promptly responded via email and shipped a new receiver and remote within a week. I replaced it in about 15 mins and the fan is back to working like new. Excellent customer service! I'm

Use on line assembly video to save time and frustration.
Use the on-line assembly video. It will help you. Assembly is not complicated but takes time. Follow insttructions. Suggest you assemble fan blades and light before hanging the fan. The fan is very quiet and the cool light selection is quite bright. Very attractive. I like the prewired harness rather than multiple wire nuts. Just connect the hot, common and ground and the harness and you are done. I wish the lharness lead to the fan was a bit longer since connecting the light takes considerable manual dexterity. I have not used it extensively so I don't know of it's longevity, hopefully many years.

A frustrating item
I don't know whether I am the lucky one, or this product is bogus for everybody! The delivery was great. I opened the package and started putting all the parts out for the easy assembly they promised me. It has been one headache after another to put it together. My biggest complaint is there was no instructions to help. I went online and everything I checked into there.had nothing to do with the particular fan I bought. So no instruction, you have to guess. During my guessing process, I find that it was missing three screws that I need in order to connect the lamp to the fan. This has not been a twenty minute experience! I am into my second day now.And I still do not have a fan installed. fast forward tw days.... I had to cut many of the wires down and splice them in order to make the remote box fit into the top housing. Then I find, after several attempts, that the holes for the housing screws do not align and are about 1/4 inch off center and cannot attach the screws.... I feel I threw $128 in the trash as that was my final solution.... GOOD LUCK if you buy this product. 1 star is too good for it!

Great Quality Fan — Looks Amazing & Works Even Better!
Really happy with this fan! It looks super clean and modern, and the wood blades give it a nice touch of warmth without looking bulky or old-fashioned. Feels like a perfect mix of style and function. Installation was pretty easy — instructions were clear and everything went together nicely. The remote control is super handy, and I love being able to control both the fan speeds and the light without having to get up. Best part? It’s incredibly quiet. Even on the higher speeds, there’s barely any sound, which makes it perfect for bedrooms or spaces where you want that peaceful vibe. Airflow is excellent, the light is bright but not harsh, and overall it just feels like a really well-made fan. Definitely recommend if you want something that looks great and performs even better!

Quality Products with One Glitch
***Outstanding Customer Service*** I bought 2 matching Sofucor 52 Inch Ceiling fans. The first one installed easily and worked perfectly. The second fan installed easily and worked properly except for the light function. After troubleshooting the 2nd fan, I requested a new receiver from customer service since it didn’t seem to be sending the voltage to the LED light disc. Customer Service promptly sent a new receiver and a new matched remote. I installed the new receiver and matched remote and the light still did not work properly. (The fan always functioned perfectly). More troubleshooting on the 2nd fan: I then compared the wiring to the light on the “known good” 1st fan installed to the wiring on the 2nd fan and found the wiring defect. See the photos attached below. I fixed the wiring problem (DIY) and the 2nd fan now works perfectly. The fan functions properly and now the lighting functions properly as well = same as the 1st fan. This (1st picture) is of the “known good” 1st fan wiring and plug that provides power to the LED light disc. Note how the wires on both the input and output sides of the white plug match: Input = White | Red | Yellow (See 1st picture) - Output = White | Red | Yellow This 2nd picture is of the wiring and plug on the 2nd fan BEFORE REPAIR. Note how the wires on both the input and output sides of the white plug DO NOT MATCH: Input = White | Red | Yellow (See picture 2 above) - Output = Red | White | Yellow To correct this factory wiring defect (because I’m a trained and experienced electronics technician), I simply removed and reversed the Red and White wires on the output to match the wiring sequence on the input – in the same way that the wires are shown in the 1st picture above for the 1st fan. That solved the problem! The wire terminal clips within the plastic plugs were NOT easy to remove, but were easy to re-insert to make a solid connection. This issue should be addressed via factory-level quality control – as this is not a fix for the average consumer. So that's my story. I'm not afraid to tinker with electronics, but most people would not. A little more quality control is needed and that should totally eliminate this issue in the future.
