This is one of those rare times when you are pleasantly surprised at the quality for the money. I bought this when fitting lots of skirting boards in our house as none of the corners are 90 degrees. It is metal and extremely well made with a very smooth action as you open and close it. The lettering on the face is also sharp and clear. The most important thing is it just works really well and lets you know instantly and accurately what degree you should be cutting your mitre joints. It also comes with a plastic pouch to keep it in, which is a nice bonus.

This is a quality product. Clean, precise and clear markings for ease of use. The movement is smooth and firm. It remains in a set position until decisive force is used by the user. I'm really happy with my purchase and it does its job as required.

The product is very well made and I think it will last. Probably better than other brands. However, I can’t really see why it is so useful if one has other devices for measuring angles (digital angle gauge more accurate and just as easy to use). All you need to do is subtract the measured ang from 180 and divide by 2. This is all the gauge does
