I volunteered to make some buttons for our Parent Teacher Club so I scoured the web for a reasonably priced button maker that would also function well enough. This is one of the lower priced units, plus it came with supplies to make 100 buttons. After reading the 1-star reviews, I was fully prepared to have troubles operating it, but the first one I attempted came out perfectly. Everything set, and the end result was great. I went on to make 10 total, and out of that, 2 failed. I’m certain it was user-error, but I’m not 100% sure what I did wrong. I did notice the metal backing sometimes stick together, and dropping them on the table allowed them to separate. It very well could be that the first one I made had two metal backings but I didn’t know it. It could also be that I simply didn’t press hard enough. Either way, a loss of 2 out of 10 was acceptable to me, given this is the first time I’ve ever used a button making machine. I would say it takes some practice to get the right feel. I’m currently trying to figure out how to align the pin correctly as it seems no matter how hard I try, it ends up crooked. Good thing I have supplies for 90 more buttons to perfect my process.

Works really well! It takes a little bit for little kids to get the hang of it but is really fun and simple! Also it contains a booklet that has different designs in case you don’t have any right away. You can use any design or drawing you would like! Overall great quality buttons and makes a great gift especially for tweens!

Do not buy this button maker!!! It constantly sticks and because of that it is not easy to work with. It definitely is not worth the $$$!! EDIT: Although my review remains the same, I would like to add that Happizza read my review and reached out to me to offer an apology and a full refund. This button maker was easy to assemble. However, it did not come with any directions to design buttons, so it took me several tries getting the right size made on my software and pressing the buttons for them to look right. After several attempts and failed buttons made finally mastered the art of button making through trial and error. Wish there would have been directions on design. A 3 inch button maker does not necessarily mean you design your inserts with a 3 inch template. Quality has been good, but with it being plastic, i feel like it could break easily if you press too hard. Because it’s made of plastic it made this button maker, more lightweight, and easy to pick up and move.

I LOVE THIS DAMN THING SOOO MUCH!! (btw the photo is of my bag only using this pin machine!! let me get this straight. i don’t buy garbage. nor do i rate garbage 5 stars. i bought this on a whim because i wanted to decorate my bag and ITS SO WORTH THE PRICE?? if ur a teen like me it comes in clutch so much!! i’ve brought it for club actives and it holds up well. the instructions are very helpful and it comes with some extra paper:) they are larger than usual pin machines but i prefer it that way!! tldr: amazing product and soo worth the price!! get it NOW!!

it’s alright, but make sure you double and even triple check that the little pieces of paper and clear seal are not stuck together in twos (example shown in second photo) it’s very easy to miss so just please make sure they are not stuck together. this is one mistake I made and I thought it was broken, but you HAVE to make sure that there is no clear paper and no normal white paper sticking together or else your buttons wont press. also note that you have to press down extremely hard to ensure the buttons are going to be made properly, especially when putting the back of the button on you have to really push the handle down super hard and sometimes listen for a noise. if you want to put a little paper or drawing on top of the white paper (such as the rainbow pin in the photo) it’s not going to seal properly, so use either an extremely thin paper or don’t put anything ontop of the white paper at all, that is if you use it. printing out a design works fine too, but make sure its from the printer or it wont press down due to the thick size of it. you probably will mess up your first or second try and it might be frustrating but don’t give up because it will end up working after awhile. thank you <3

Overall, this is a very user-friendly machine. I ordered it on 2/12 and received it the very next day on 2/13. I opened it right away, checked the parts (and noticed a few were missing), read through the instructions, and got started immediately. The instructions are clear and precise, which made the button-making process easy to understand. I was able to make 40 last night and i will make the rest today. The only downside was that I needed to make 80 buttons, and when I opened the package, I received only 86 metal plates (14 were missing) and 100 white pin backs, but 4 safety pins were missing. It was frustrating because when you pay for a product, you expect to receive everything that was promised. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case, and I had to order extra supplies at the last minute. That said, the pins turned out really well. I will say it’s a bit of trial and error at first you just need to find a good routine. One important tip: don’t forget to place the metal plate in before adding the picture and plastic! What made the process easier for me was setting up an assembly system. I placed the metal plates, cut-out pictures, and plastic covers on the right side (Side A), and kept the plastic pin backs on the left side (Side B). This made the workflow much smoother. This solved a problem for me. I was looking for giveaways at my musical performances - keychains, lapel pins, etc. But then I'd be locked into one design if I wanted to buy in bulk to save money. My sister suggested this, what a great idea. Easy to use, and they include EVERYTHING you need in the kit: the machine, the metal buttons, the plastic safety pin backs, the clear plastic covers. AND they even included a cool little circle cutter with an extra blade - so all you have to do is print out your images in the right size and away you go! Thanks for solving my problem, saving me money, and unlocking my creativity. I'd give this 6 STARS if I could!
