Lindt EXCELLENCE Sea Salt Dark Chocolate Bar, Pack of 12

When you want a little sweet something after a meal - this satisfies. Such a great little treat that you don't' need to worry about. Love this!

I’m sure this is the #1 chocolate in heaven! Price has skyrocketed so I’m currently not buying it but will for sure when the price comes back down

A little hidden treat! Perfect combination of sweet and salty. Very large bars. When you need something sweet and trying to behave. One or two squares hit the spot! Perfect texture. Bought also milk chocolate for a Christmas cookie bake off as a treat to the girls. Melts in your mouth.

The sea salt caramel flavor is fantastic; it has an extra layer of flavor compared to regular dark chocolate, and it's perfect to pair with coffee or other teas.

Chocolate is about an 8 on the 10 scale for quality and flavor. One of the ingredients is "artificial flavor", I really wish they could find another way. I don't know what that artificial flavor is but there's a vanilla aspect to the flavor that tastes artificial and leaves an aftertaste. It has a creaminess reminiscent of milk chocolate. It melts in your mouth nicely, that's the soy emulsifier. The chocolate itself is fairly bitter with a nice bitter aftertaste, but it is sweet on the palate when you eat it. Not sweet like mass market chocolate, but sweeter than it should be. So, I also wish it had less sugar. Some sugar is necessary, the combination of salty, bitter and sweet only works with the sweet, but it should just be less, IMHO. I think this is the same company as Girardelli, (or the same ownership), perhaps between the two of them they could come up with a *clean label* ~70-75% cacao salted bitter chocolate. I was very pleasantly surprised that it showed up in a nice styrofoam shipper with a big ice pack and wrapped in a sturdy plastic bag. The chocolate was well chilled, enough that it snapped when I broke off a piece. I'm sure the packaging, the ice pack and the fast UPS delivery cost the vendor some $$, so I'm appreciative of that. I will re-use that ice pack and styro box many times. Freshness is top notch. Despite my grumblings and criticisms, I'd buy it again. Unless I can source a comparably priced clean label, slightly less sweet chocolate elsewhere.

By the time it arrived, the chocolate had melted and re-solidified. Terrible.

The product is lovely. But not always correct on arrival, sometimes I get the salt one (which I ordered) sometimes plain. Sometimes the bars are intact and sometimes smashed. Still edible and lovely though. Not so value for money of you wanted to gift the chocolate. But of you are cooking or just eating it then it is lovely.
