Good quality dryer balls still look brand new and I have used it for while now. It has not frayed or break in any way. The only discoloration to one of the wool balls is from essential oils intentionally applied to it. The essential oil lasts for few loads with a few drops (3-4 drops) of essential oils. Even with the discoloration, its function is still effective. My clothes come out with less to no static. This is a healthy alternative to using fabric softeners with chemicals. My larger loads dry quicker than without the wool balls. It is a great investment.

So as the title of my review exclaims, I absolutely LOVE wool dryer balls. I was introduced to them ~6 months ago. This is actually the second set I've purchased. ***Please note, the feedback I'm providing is for wool dryer balls in general. While I did purchase this specific set/brand (my order for this set came as expected and appears to be of good quality), my other set is not, and they work the same way. Also, I still use about 1/4 of the amount of liquid fabric softener I used prior to implementing these into my laundry routine. I might not need to, but haven't fully committed to just the dryer balls. Also, since I'm not sure how much of a factor this plays into the equation, my dryer is a: Samsung Front Loading Dryer Model: DVE45T6000W Drying Time: I have not personally noticed any drastic difference in my drying time with or without these. 90% of the time, I am using a low heat drying cycle. This includes the vast majority of my clothes, all of my bedding, and my bath towels. I do not like to dry on high heat because I am a taller man (6'2") and really don't want my clothes shrinking, even a small amount. For me personally, it's worth the extra $15-$20 per month in electricity costs to run my dry longer at lower temperatures. If you are drying on high heat, you might notice a difference, but I cannot speak to that. Static: I now have ZERO static issues with clothing! I live in Minnesota, where the winters get exceptionally cold and dry, and have always had issues with static during the winter months. That is no longer an issue at all! Absolutely amazing! Wrinkles: Wool dryer balls have an end to wrinkles in my clothing. Period. Even my linen duvet covers comes out wrinkle free! Softness of Clothing: I have honestly noticed a tremendous difference in how soft my clothing is after using these. My towels feel softer and nicer, my bedding is softer as well. I firmly believe these things soften clothing better than anything else. Smell: The dryer balls have no strong smells or odors, even the ones I've used for 6 months. If you worried about them transferring any smells or odors to your clothing, don't be. Personally, I like to add 2-3 drops of lavender essential oil to each of the dryer balls when I dry bedding and 2-3 drops of eucalyptus to each for clothing/towels. It's subtle enough to avoid irritating your skin or nose, but also gives a pleasing scent to everything. Overall: I highly highly recommend everyone introduce dryer balls into their laundry routine. While they may not reduce your over drying time, they WILL eliminate static, remove wrinkles, and soften everything you use them with!

I am a believer! These actually work, I haven't noticed any static and my clothes come out of the dryer wrinkle free. I was hesitant to try tennis balls because, well, rubber in a dryer. I don't see any difference in drying time. I miss that dryer sheet smell, so I tried the essential oils trick on the balls. That was a mistake! Clothes don't come out of the dryer with any noticeable smell but I left some sheets in the dryer overnight, with these balls, and they came out with oily spots that I think were the essential oils coming off the balls. Dryer sheets are horrible for you, your clothes, and the environment, so I'll keep using these and just deal with the totally unscented laundry. They came with a nice storage bag to keep them clean when they're not in the dryer. They do make a little noise in the dryer, but not as much as a pair of tennis shoes. It doesn't bother me because I don't hang out in the garage watching the dryer turn. If your laundry is in the house, the noise might be an issue.

They bang around in the dryer, louder with a smaller load, but it was expected. They work great but do leave some static. Toss them in just like a dryer sheet, but no toxic chemicals or fake frangrances.

Io e come tanti altri possessori di lavasciuga, ho il problema delle pieghe degli abiti lavati ed asciugati quanto per il consumo energetico che una lavasciuga comporta. Sino ad oggi, ogni volta che lavavo ed asciugavo gli abiti le pieghe dopo l'asciugatura erano un dramma, in quanto dovevo poi stirarli e spessissimo le pieghe non partivano rimanendo in evidenza. Nonostante cicli di asciugatura a basa intensità di calore, tra ferro da stiro usato a lungo a causa delle pieghe, il costo energetico in bolletta era evidente. Casualmente mi sono imbattuto in questo prodotto e viste le caratteristiche e le recensioni dei clienti, mi sono accinto a comprarlo nutrendo comunque forti dubbi sulla loro efficacia. il pacco è arrivato in una graziosa sacca in tela, con all'interno sei palle in purissima lana naturale, infatti accostandole al naso si sentiva l'odore tipico della lana di pecora e posso constatarlo avendo vissuto per molti anni in campagna. Ho provato subito un lavaggio con asciugatura ed il risultato è stato davvero soddisfacente, infatti le pieghe sono quasi del tutto sparite dai capi e applicando un ciclo di asciugatura a bassa intensità i capi era molto più asciutti rispetto ai precedenti cicli che facevo. L'odore di pecora dopo il lavaggio e asciugatura che tanti recensori dicevano di aver notato sui capi, nel mio caso, era inesistente. Altro aspetto non da poco, è stato notare come queste palline raccolgano i pelucchi o le fibre dei vestiti che spesso si accumulano durante i cicli di asciugatura, lasciando gli abiti privi di questi residui fastidiosissimi. E' un gran prodotto che tutti i possessori di lavasciuga od asciugatrice devono avere in casa, sia per il lavoro egregio che fanno, sia per il risparmio energetico che intrinsicamente esso può generare.

Estoy encantada con las bolas de lana. La ropa sale de la secadora mullida y desde que las uso mi ropa ya no me da descargas eléctricas. Duran mucho. Yo las tengo ya unos 3/4 años y repetiré seguro. No se deshilachan. No huelen.
