These Riesens are so good. It's like a Rolo or the chocolate in a Milky Way but firmer. It is a German candy. It is enjoyed as chewy, intense chocolate-caramel completely coated in rich dark chocolate. You can either go right on it and chew it or let it melt. Either way it takes some time and taste oh so good. This is why these stand out as a chocolate treat unlike any other. If you like chocolate with caramel, you don't even have to be a fan of dark chocolate, you will love this. The dark chocolate brings it together better than milk chocolate would and I love milk chocolate (Dove, Hershey's, ECT..) if this has garnered your interest, I say go for. If you have confidence a bag of this size will suit you or just pass them out, and you're sure to get many thanks and compliments. If you are thinking of buying this and it's a decent price, go for it. If you haven't tried but think you'll like it, definitely try it!! I would definitely recommend this!!

These dark chocolate caramel pieces are exactly what you want in a treat — rich chocolate with soft, buttery caramel that’s perfectly chewy. The 30 oz size is great for sharing (or not), and the flavor balance is excellent. A satisfying sweet that hits every time.

Delicious and fresh

Candy is light colored, not the typical dark that it is suppose to be. I looked it up and learned it is called sugar bloom or fat bloom. It's due to either moisture or unusual warming. I'm thinking that the box being left on the 90 degree, sunny porch by the delivery driver caused it. Or possibly a hot delivery vehicle. Or a combination of both. It's safe to eat, but sugar bloom causes loss of flavor. So if you were looking forward to the awesome dark chocolate favor of Riesen, it's a big disappointment. Tastes like a weak milk chocolate. I can see why some reviews think its spoiled. It's hard to settle for a 30 oz. bag of weak chocolate caramels. Also hard to throw out 20 bucks worth of something you were looking forward too. Maybe I'll just send it back to protest.

They are my favorite secret. My grandchildren don’t even get a chance! Watch out though. Yum dark chocolate outside, Then hard chewy caramel inside. 💝💝

This is one of my very favorite candies. When I feel like I need a little treat in life I get it. I am 72 and this puts a smile on my face!

Riesen chocolates are amazing! I bought these to fill a candy dish in my office and the biggest problem I have is everyone in my office coming by to say hello and take a few Riesens. Buying this on Amazon is extremely convenient. Buying the 30z bag is also a good size for refilling my candy jar. Candies are very fresh in the completely sealed bag and they stay fresh for at least 3 months. My only issue is that they do seem to be a bit pricey. But that seems to be the issue with most chocolates these days.
